Suggestion: Give Fizz (partial) admin privileges

Question

I know people would love for Fizz to be admin. He’s always active, he’s effectively head moderator, and most importantly he loves the site. Pokémaster probably won’t promote him to admin, but how about sorta admin? I was thinking maybe he has a special page where he can activate certain things. Like a name change or something. The photo here inspired it. Fizz still wouldn’t be able to edit the site directly like add Pokemon to the Pokédex or post news on the home page, but what if he could trigger the things in that photo. Not a admin, not even close, but maybe still be able to be the “leader” of the site.

If something like this happens Fizz should probably also be given the ability to promote editors and maybe moderators but all of this will still require Pokemaster to do something which is unlikely to happen.

Silver mine isn’t full admin it’s different. Sumwu- sorry sumwun specifically fizz and way more than simply promotions

it would be a lot of work to make a new half-admin role, and this probably would be the ideal way to promote a mod anyway. Why wouldn't they just make him full Pokebase admin (but not PDB webmaster) alongside PM? And while he's at it PM should just make fizzy a Q2A Dev.

sumwun fizz wouldn’t abuse this privilege while if EVERY SINGLE MOD could do this at some point it’s gonna be abused. Also Froggy it’s really not hard to add a singular page and change his user type. If he knows q2a (which we know he does) I see it taking only a couple hours

It takes more effort than simply adding a page and changing the user type. A lot of coding and compatibility checking would need to be done. Is it hard? No. But it would still take up at least a few hours of his time. The time he already can’t be bothered to give us. It’s unrealistic.

I have a concern with the statement “if every single mod could do this at some point it’s gonna be abused”. There’s only 6 moderators, and we’ve all been moderators here for a long time. It’s been years since we promoted anyone, and years since we demoted anyone. Do you presently have a concern with any members of the staff team?

Take promotions for example you could promote everybody or people or really don’t deserve it

Is there even any point in arguing for or against this? We all know that PM will never see this, and if he does, he'll say no, and if he doesn't, it'll go become one of those things that is allegedly planned but will never happen.

@stoundland, I don’t see promotions being an issue. I already can promote anyone to expert whenever I want. If someone promotes someone wrongly, it can just be undone

Moderators can already leak IPs and ban anyone.
