If you have a good competitive moveset for Umbreon, post an answer below and upvote the best ones. Movesets for any of its pre-evolutions can also be shared on this thread.

Be sure to include full set details in your post, e.g. items, abilties, natures and EVs. Some detail, including the intended game mode for your set, is also appreciated. Access the full list of guidelines here.

Umbreon (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Heal Bell
- Wish
- Curse
- Payback
bold nature
leftovers
screech ( for attack issue)
protect ( for left overs and it has toxic soit's healing while hurting)
toxic
bite ( STAB plus it's other moves are better so bite is just for flinching plus screech)
So, my Umbreon can only learn curse by breeding? If I have a level 50 Umbreon that doesn't knows curse, I'm done?
Yes, Clecerebro Umbreon only Learns Curse from Breeding...
:P
the careful nature is flawless. although you should replace curse with toxic

I use this one a lot:
[email protected]
252 Def, 252 SpDef, 4 HP
-Toxic
-Payback/foulplay
-Wish
-Protect

or

-Toxic
-Heal Bell(for people who try to toxic Umbreon)
-Wish
-Protect

I did not read thru most of the other answers so IDK if someone else also used these sets. The second setsometimes traps you when battling Posion/Steel types, so mabye choose the first one.

Umbreon @Leftovers
Ability: Inner Focus
Nature: Careful (+SpD, -SpA)
EVs: 252 Def, 252 SpD, 4 Atk
Moves:
-Toxic
-Protect
-Curse
-Payback
EVs are like this so you can be super bulky, with a teeny attack boost. Basically spam Curse until the stats max out. With Inner Focus, you won’t be able to flinch, which could create problems with this set, since now you are very slow. Then do a classic Toxic and Protect wombo combo, with Leftovers healing back some damage. And if you get taunted, you have Payback, a physical, dark type move whose power doubles if you move after your target, which is almost guaranteed with the -6 speed.

Okay, I don't think I saw this set but I am currently using this in Gen 7

[email protected] Z
252 Def/252 SpD/ 4 Atk
Adamant/Brave nature
Syncronize
Payback - attack power and even though it doesn't do a lot of damage it gets double damage with taunt
Refresh - heals conditions, Z-Refresh heals HP when you can't wait for Wish
Taunt - prevents being setup on, also forces them to either switch out or take double damage
Wish - healing, could use Z-Wish to boost SpD but I keep it for Z-Refresh

You could also use a Darkium Z for a powerful attack or to boost attack with Z-Taunt

I'm a bit late to this discussion, but if you wanna be cheap AF and infuriate your opponent, this is what I use...

Umbreon @ Leftovers
Nature: Sassy
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 def. 252 sp def. 4 hp
Move set:

 -Payback (recommend PP Max)
 -Double Team
 -Toxic
 -Moonlight

Use double team until max evasiveness, toxic, then payback. Whenever HP is in the yellow, moonlight + Leftovers, your likely back to full HP, ready to dodge almost anything they throw at you, but if one o' their Pokémon knows Aura Sphere, sorry my friend, but you're f*****. I typically do double/triple battles, so I get rid of them ASAP with my other Pokémons. Hope this helps!
