"Movesets for any of its pre-evolutions can also be shared on this thread."

So, can I write movesets for Eevee here?
Seeing as Eevee is a pre-evolution of Sylveon, I'd say yes.
But It's said so in moveset questions of every Eeveelutions!
Ok, so? Eevee is a pre-evolution of every Eeveelution...
Yeah! But it's a little bit strange...

Sylveon (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 129 SpA / 129 SpD
Modest Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Ground] / Psyshock
- Calm Mind

Calm Mind boosts your SpA & SpD. Hyper Voice becomes STAB because of Pixilate & gains a 30% boost. Shadow Ball is coverage, and HP Ground covers both your weaknesses. Psyshock is for if you don't have HP Ground.

Sylveon doesn't get Synchronize.
Thanks for telling me. This website LIES. -_-
This website doesn't say Synchronize. JS.
Says its abilities are Cute Charm, Synchronize, & Pixilate for me.
Oh yeah they do. Lol :P
how does sylveon get hyper voice
Synchronize isn't on here anymore, and you can only get Hyper Voice from Gen V.
Shouldn't it be Defense EVs instead of Sp. Def.?
Moon blast>hyper voice, so maybe cute charm could be better
Hyper Voice is boosted by Pixilate. After counting that boost, it has more base power as compared to Moonblast.
you can teach sylveon (at least in oras) hyper voice by save up 12 bp at the battle resort and teach it like that.
What the hell is HP Ground?????
@SytheScythe It's the abbreviated form of Hidden Power Ground.
@Soundwave Thank you for the very useful information!
why the hell is shadow ball coverage???????
why hyper voice when you can just opt for moonblast instead? Moonblast also has stab with a higher base power, as well as a chance for a SpA drop.
@Misfortune Read the description for Pixilate.
u should use hyper voice with throat spray to open up a moveslot for mystical fire for steel coverage, also psyshock for poison coverage

Sylveon @ Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature

- Hyper Voice
- Wish
- Toxic / Heal Bell
- Protect

Although Hyper Voice only has 90 BP and Moonblast has 95, Pixilate causes all Normal-type moves used to become Fairy-type moves and receive a 30% boost in power, causing Hyper Voice to have 117 power instead.
but STAB gives moonblast a 50% boost in power compared to the 30% given by pixilate. that means that the power for moonblast is 140 not 95
Pixilate changes the normal typing on moves to fairy, so Hyper Voice will get STAB as well as the 30% boost.
Hyper Voice ~175BP (90*1.3*1.5), which is better than Moonblast's 140BP.
depends on situation. hyper voice is for double battles because it hits both opposing pokemon, while moonblast only hits one
And also can bypass substitute

Sylveon @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Cute Charm
EVs: 126 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA / 126 Spe
Bold Nature
- Moonblast
- Skill Swap
- Calm Mind
- Shadow Ball

Pixilate is somewhat useless to me. Sylveon, in my opinion, doesn't have many good normal attacks. Skill Swap is for the Mega Pokemon (with their amazing rarely seen abilities) and same gendered Pokemon (which now have a useless ability). Moonblast is for STAB and Calm Mind is for to raise the SAtk. Shadow Ball is for coverage. Due to Sylveon's high SDef, your opponent is more likely to use physical moves, thus causing them to get hurt by Rocky Helmet and -if male- cause infatuation. Well, this is my first time doing this so I hope y'all enjoyed it ^^

Sylveon
Sylveon @ Leftovers
Ability: Cute Charm
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Toxic
- Moonblast

This girl (guuuurll) is a fine special sponge. It can't take physical hits too well, but if it does there is Cute Charm to try and retaliate, but its too unreliable considering it may not actually activate, it maybe the wrong gender match up, and it might just fail altogether. Yet you see me using it.

Moonblast is a more defensive move with a 30% to lower the opponent's Special Attack which makes it easier for Sylveon to sponge those hits a lot easier. It also gets exactly 8 more PP then Hyper Voice, which might not say much, but occasionally you might run into that issue late in the game where those 8 hits count.

Wish passing can be invaluable to a team. Most of the time it'll help you gain some strong momentum on a switch as it can stop a potential 2HKO. Protect ensures that Sylveon can get a Wish herself. Toxic can devastate any Pokemon it works against. Put these together and you end up with stall.

Seems like a good bulky Specs like Glaceon

Sylveon @ Choice Specs
Trait: Pixiliate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Psyshock
- Shadow Ball
- Draining Kiss

We don't know it's egg moves, but there will be a replacement for Draining Kiss

by

Well we actually do know most of its egg moves, since it evolves from Eevee.

Wish beam Sylveon
Sylveon @ Pixie Plate
Ability: Pixilate
EVs 252 HP / 252 SpAtk / 4 SPD (or anything you want)
Modest / Calm / Bold Nature

  • Hyper Beam
  • Wish
  • Shadow Ball / Swift / Calm Mind / Protect
  • Psyshock / Swift / Calm Mind / Protect

Basically the name of this set explains it all. Start by making a Wish, then use Hyper Beam, during the charging turn you will heal from Wish. Hyper beam's 150 base power is insane when added to Pixilate and the Pixie Plate. Psyshock covers Poison types and Shadow ball is neutral coverage, Calm Mind buffs you while the opponent switches or you can use protect if you want to use wish more effectively.

This is my first set on here go easy on me ^~^

why in the world is shadow ball coverage????? Steel is only weak to ground and fire?
Pixie Plate is horrible. Why is Swift and option?Swift is horrible because Hyper Voice does much more damage.Hyper Beam sucks too.
@PKThunder10 I agree with everything, but pixie plate. Damage boost is always helpful and you don't lose anything for it.

Sylveon Dual Screener
Held Item: Light clay
Nature: Bold
Ability: Cute Charm
EV: 252 Def, 252 HP, 8 SpDef

Moveset:
-Moonblast
-Reflect
-Light Screen
-Wish

This set makes the best of Sylveon, full EV investment in HP and Def makes sure Sylveon will be able to tank hits, Ability Cute Charm can result with a infatuation so it's perfect switch in vs fighting types, Dual Screens Help with tanking hits while Moonblast is your offense here as noones immune to it. Wish provides healing for Sylveon and his teammates and with his base 95hp an ally will be healed for his half hp which is a lot (about 100).

Sylveon (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate
Evs: 252 HP, 4 Sp .Atk, 252 Def
Nature: Bold (+ Def, - Atk)
- Hyper Voice
- Calm Mind
- Wish
- Heal Bell

Because Sylveon already has superb Sp Def, and has low base Def, it is likely to encounter physical dealers. Invested into Def, Sylveon can take a couple of STAB Earthquakes and various other physical attacks almost equally to its Sp Def capabilities, as long it isn't Steel type.

Special attacks are no threat to Sylveon, as it is very bulky and can stall very well. With Calm Mind, Sylveon can bulk up on Sp Def and reduce any special attacks, whilst, of course, healing with Wish. Sylveon often encounters status dealers, so Heal Bell is used rid those status effects among the whole team. Sylveon goes especially well with a burner or Reflect screener.

Don't underestimate's Sylveon's raw Sp Atk. With +1 Calm Mind, it can wipe out most Dragon types and sweep many unprepared teams with Hyper Voice. It can also go through barriers and Substitute, hence Gliscor and many baton passers can have a hard time dealing with Sylveon.

The one major downside is its Speed. It won't outspeed most Pokemon, hence most opponents will switch out when they find their Pokemon in an unfavorable position against Sylveon. However this works in the favour of Wishing in most scenarios. Also do not go with Dig, as Earthquake will twice as effective, considering its already low speed.

Gen 8 Doubles/VGC Set

Sylveon @ Throat Spray
Ability: Pixilate
Nature: Timid / Modest
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Speed / 4 HP

  • Hyper Voice
  • Mystical Fire
  • Helping Hand
  • Protect

Hyper Voice with Throat Spray will activate Throat Spray, which boosts special attack by one stage. Sylveon now gets Mystical Fire, which helps hit steel types, mainly Ferrothorn. Helping Hand is for support purposes, and Protect is always good in Doubles Formats.

by
That is an amazing one, I did a ranked match one time and got destroded by this set

Gen 8 NU

Sylveon @ Expert Belt
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Psyshock
- Mystical Fire
- Quick Attack / Shadow Ball

This set fakes a Specs Sylveon set by using Expert Belt to bluff a Choice Specs. Hyper Voice is STAB thanks to Pixilate. Psyshock deals with poison types like Toxicroak, Salazzle, and Dragalge upon switching in. Mystical Fire is for coverage against steel types like Copperajah and Bronzong. Pixilate Quick Attack is a surprise factor that can catch weakened Pokemon off guard. Shadow Ball can be used for more coverage.

by
Honestly, faking is my thing so i will upvote

Sylveon @ Throat Spray
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Moonblast / Wish
- Calm Mind
- Hyper Beam

Hyper Voice with Throat Spray and Pixilate just works for me. Hyper Beam is for the strong Fairy-type STAB attack, which hits hard in tandem with Pixilate. Calm Mind is to setup because this is not too bulky, Moonblast for the nice Fairy-type STAB attack or Wish for healing.

by

You don't need this many Fairy type attacks.
1 vote

Oh yes, another Eeveelution with a bad movepool. However, it does have access to Pixilate, which is a great ability.

Sylveon @ Throat Spray
Ability: Pixilate
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Ghost / Steel / Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Timid / Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hyper Voice / Moonblast
- Calm Mind / Wish
- Shadow Ball / Mystical Fire
- Psychic / Psyshock

Hyper Voice is great Fairy STAB because it is affected by Pixilate. Throat Spray can make Hyper Voice incredibly good as it gives it a SpA boost when using it. Calm Mind is to set up, but Wish can give you great opportunities to to stall. Shadow Ball, Psychic and Mystical Fire are basically the only coverage Special Sylveons can have. Psyshock can also hit Special walls. Ghost and Steel Tera's are for a bulky typing, while Fairy can boost the power of Hyper Voice even more. Moonblast can also destroy Special attackers. Timid for extra Speed, but I prefer Modest.

Sylveon @ Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SDef
Gentle Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Double-Edge
- Wish
- Heal Bell

What? No one went for good support? Anyways, this guy is used to heal and wall. You'd be surprised, getting rid of this thing isn't that easy. Threw in a Double-Edge because you know, Pixilate. Hyper-Voice / Double-Edge is a nice pairing for getting rid of sweepers.

In my opinion, this generation gave us awesome support and walls. I'm very happy.

by
how do you get heal bell on slyveon?
@kawaiiotaku You have to teach an Eevee Heal Bell through the gen 4 or 5 move tutor.

This is my first posted moveset on here because I was never really into competitive play but here is my Sylveon

Item: Leftovers
Trait: Pixilate
EVs: 156HP › 200 SAtk › 152 Def
Nature: Calm

-Substitute
-Calm Mind
-Draining Kiss
-Hyper Beam

Hyper Beam is unconventional but I love the power with Pixilate. Let me know what you guys think

by
better go with hyper voice i think... you dont have to forego a turn and it still does a lot of damage. also you could go for wish instead of draining kiss. It just makes recovery more reliable.
0 votes

Sylveon can also a be a fairly unexpected and effective lead

Sylveon @ Pixie Plate
Ability: Cute Charm
EVs: 252HP › 200 SAtk › 58SDef
Calm Nature

  • Moonblast
  • Swift
  • Dazzling Gleam
  • Calm Mind

Moonblast can take out a variety of things (lthough not always OHKO), Swift for finishing off, Dazzling Gleam can be used after a Moonblast and Calm Mind is in case Dazzling Gleam/Moonblast isn't doing much. However, it mostly should not be needed with the Pixie Plate.

by
But running both fairy type moves could be not as good as it sounds. Still it has weaknesses to poison and steel, so nothing to defend itself against either poison or steel. But Pixie plate is a great item to use. Maybe use something a little different.

Here is my set although I still haven't decided on an item yet so I will put what I am using at the moment

Sylveon
Item: Rocky helm (To deter some physical hits or hits that require physical contact)
Ability: Cute charm
Nature: Bold
Evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SpDef or Spatt
Attacks

  • Moonblast
  • Baby doll eyes / Protect
  • Wish
  • Yawn

As Sylveons hp max is 390 you can expect massive wishes to your team mates also your already high Spdeff ensures tanking special attacks to allow a safe wish or yawn. Baby doll eyes and yawn are there to either force switches and Moon blast is self explanatory also baby doll eyes has priority so it really helps tanking physical hits when you have either used wish to heal yourself or a yawn to incapacitate the opponent as no physical attacker enjoys a drop in power whilst being asleep, protect is there if you are not confident your Sylveon can tank physical hits but as my current Sylveon can handle a poison jab and a iron head from a Garchomp (I know its not stab but scary none the less) without Baby doll eyes you should be fine with max defense also I find that protect is too predictable with wish and yawn and people tend to know what you will do and either just boost or switch into something that can kill you which then usually forces you to switch, but that's my opinion, I welcome any comments if you think I can improve on my Sylveon :)

by
This looks good, I enjoy the slightly differing build!

I made this set back when I first got into competitive battling. Enjoy! :D

Sylveon @ Life Orb
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 SpAtk, 248 SpDef, 8 Spd
Nature: Modest *(^SpAtk vAtk)
- Hyper Beam
- Draining Kiss
- Shadow Ball
- Psyshock

Offensive Sylveon is gr8, even though it doesn't have much Speed the 8 Speed EVs help edge out other Pokemon with the same speed. Hyper Beam for AMAZING STAB, Draining Kiss for recovery, Shadow Ball and Psyshock for coverage.

Sylveon (F) @ Leftovers/Sitrus Berry/Big Root/Rocky Helmet
Ability: Cute Charm
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Def, 6 Sp.Def
Nature: Bold
- Calm Mind
- Draining Kiss
- Shadow Ball
- Heal Bell

Calm Mind boosts your Sp.Atk & Sp.Def, Heal Bell removes status conditions, Draining Kiss provides STAB & healing, and Shadow Ball provides a bit of coverage. Couldn't really decide on an item. Leftovers and Sitrus Berry are obvious healing, while Big Root gives back more health from Draining Kiss, & Rocky Helmet discourages Physical attacks.

Sylveon is the newest out of the Eeveelution bunch and new type and yeah yeah...Sylveon isnt my most favorite other than it being my 2nd favorite fairy type while the other being Xerneas (Bambi's mom) but anyway on to the moveset part.

Sylveon
Item: Quick Claw (to help you attack first)
Ability: Cute Charm
Nature: Modest,Calm -Bold.-
EVs: 252 Sp.Atk, 252 Sp.Def and 4 HP
Moveset:
-Moon Blast
-Hidden Power (Steel)
-Calm Mind
-Baton Pass

Moonblast will gain STAB and has great power, With this hidden power (if you got the right sylveon) you have great coverage, Calm Mind powers up Sp.Atk and Sp.Def so keep useing it to make Moon Blast and Hidden Power Steel and great bulk plus you can baton pass it, With Cute Charm you can cripple your foes (if they are the opposite gender of sylveon) wich will give you sometimes a chance to use power ups and with Modest your two offensive moves will be powered up or if you use Calm you get a bit bulkier with Sp.def and if you really want your defense boost then have no fear Bold is here

by
0 votes

Sylveon (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Cute Charm
Evs: 252 Special Attack, 252 Special Defense, 4 Speed
Modest Nature

I use a Cute Charm Sylveon instead of Pixilate because I think it's better to have something to cripple Physical Attackers rather than to have a tiny bit more power over Moonblast.

Here are her moves:

Calm Mind
To boost its highest stats even further (No need for Hyper Voice and Pixilate)

Psyshock
To get an advantage against Poison Pokémon and be able to deal Physical damage

Shadow Ball
For coverage

Moonblast
STAB

by
Shadow ball is coverage for what?
