Gen 7 ZU

Parasect @ Leftovers
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 56 SpD / 200 Spe
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Leech Life
- Spore
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off

Given Speed EVs are to outspeed most of the slow Pokemon in ZU. Leech Life is STAB, healing, and hits Grass types super-effectively, which are immune to Spore. Spore is guaranteed to put things to sleep, allowing Parasect to safely set up Swords Dance. Knock Off removes items.

Sadly, despite these seemingly great traits, Parasect has a 5x weakness to Fire and a 4x weakness to Flying. The best Pokemon in Gen 7 ZU, Swanna and Combusken, easily destroy it. This is a pretty risky Pokemon to use.

Gen V

Parasect (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Spore
- Seed Bomb
- X-Scissor
- Pursuit

Focus Sash will let you get Spore in. Then you can hit with Seed Bomb and X-Scissor. Your opponent might switch out, so that is where Pursuit comes in. Dry Skin is just the best ability for it. No point in trying to bring up that incredibly low Speed, so I have 252 Attack and split the EVs between the defenses for some protection against priority.

Role: 1 Hp Sweeper

Parasect (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Spore
- Agility
- X-Scissor
- Seed Bomb

Well, if they don't kill it in the first hit, then you're pretty darn lucky.

Spore on the first turn, then get in an Agility.

You're probably going to want to try to get 2, but if you can't, well...

Let's hope that doesn't happen.

X-Scissor and Seed Bomb for Dual STAB.

First, what is with that Parasect? That isn't shiny. Second, your speed is so completely and utterly horrible that boosting it will still have it be incredibly slow. You'd be better off attacking.
Some people are just too Ignorant to Switch, or are hoping to Get Lucky, if you get in 2 You've got a sweeper. And if you get in one you have decent speed.

Gen III

Parasect (M) @ Salac Berry
Ability: Effect Spore
EVs: 128 Atk / 64 Def / 64 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Counter
- Body Slam
- Leech Life
- Sludge Bomb

This guy's fun to use, but lacks a good movepool.

A little bit into his defenses, mainly needed for Counter in the Physical department, so he won't quite die from a neutral hit, but be able to OHKO the opponent with Counter, and get his Salac Boost. Now he has Body Slam, Leech Life ( His strongest STAB -_- ) and Sludge Bomb to try to Sweep with. Good crap, this guy has a shallow movepool.

Leech Life isn't Parasect's strongest STAB move in Gen 3. In Gen 3, Leech Life's base power is only 20. -_-
Leech Life actually IS its strongest physical STAB in Gen 3 aside from Hidden Power. Fury Cutter is the only other Bug move Parasect gets, which is 10 BP, and Grass moves are all Special in Gen 3.

Double/Triple Battle

Parasect (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Spore
- Seed Bomb
- X-Scissor
- Aerial Ace

Parasect just is not made for multi-battles. Dry Skin might protect from Surf and provide some healing but Flying and Fire are very common attacks. But oh well, moveset for every Pokemon. Spore just needs to be there. Sure, it isn't as great as in Single due to the opponent still having more Pokemon there to take you down, but it can incapacitate a foe. Seed Bomb and X-Scissor are STAB. Aerial Ace can hit any foe in a Triple Battle and is otherwise your best coverage option.

a set for gen 9 natdex.

Parasect @ Focus Sash
Ability: Dry Skin
Tera Type (SUPER IMPORTANT): Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm (could use Modest, I suppose, but I like to build upon his defenses) Nature
-Spore
-Giga Drain
-Leech Seed
-Substitute

Gen 9 has made this little guy a viable option. They were too scared to put him into the dex for they knew what he could do.

I run this guy on my Gen9 NatDex team and no one knows what to do with him. You can bait people into using Water Moves on you with a simple Fire tera typing, and it also removes that 5x fire weakness Parasect has with Dry Skin and turns it into a 1x weakness.

This guy is basically for mindgames and switch ins. But he's come in super clutch.

Entry hazards are this guy's weakness, so make sure you have a defogger, or something like that. It's also good to have him on a Rain-based team. He's also super slow and defensively weak, but he has pulled off some clutch moves for me. It's not about a Pokemon's **** stats or whatever. It's about how you use them to enact mind games onto your opponent. No one expects psychological warfare Parasect.

If all else fails, you can get a Spore in to tackle a troublesome Pokemon. Not a bad deal.

Also, who could hate this cute little guy?
