Why do Gamefreak only remake the half games like Ruby and Sapphire instead of the full game like Emerald? I'm sure all of us can agree that Emerald was more fun than RS but they decided not to remake it. If and when the sinnoh remakes are coming it is obvious it is going to be DP that will be remaked and not platinum. Why is that when the third game in a region is the one that has the most content and yet it doesnt get a remake?

Nothing stops them putting content from Emerald into Hoenn remakes... though they didn't really do that anyway.
Remake one game = $
2 games = more $$$$$$
I'm pretty sure E was better than RS mostly because it was designed later, not because it wasn't a pair. Why do you think a new pair of versions would be worse than a new single version?
@Fizz ORAS kept plenty of content from E, such as all the abilities with new field effects, EV berries, and everstones passing down natures.
@sumwun
Because in Emerald we got to fight two bad guy teams instead of one and it just feels off in RS and ORAS that we only fight one of them while the other just pretends theyre not as bad. Besides one of the best parts in the game, the Battle Frontier was only in Emerald and not in RS. My point being is that the third version of the game in the region is usually the one with the most content. Rather more content than the first two.
> According to an interview with Junichi Masuda, the Battle Frontier did not make a return in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire for the following reason: "Put simply, the Battle Frontier wasn't included because only a tiny number of players would have appreciated and used this game feature. Players get fed up more easily than they did in the past and aren't attracted by these 'demanding' challenges."

Gekky already explained why they made 2 versions with 1 villain each instead of 1 version with 2 villains.

As Gekky already said, more versions mean more profit.

Even though ORAS don't directly remake E, they still inherit a lot of E's features, such as the abilities' field effects, EV berries, and everstones passing down natures. The Battle Frontier had its own reason for being removed.
