Gen 8 SS Monotype (Flying)

Corviknight @ Occa Berry / Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Iron Defense
- Body Press
- Iron Head
- Roost

An Ironpress set with Iron Head for Flying-type teams. Iron Defense is used to boost your defense so you can take physical hits better. Body Press takes advantage of your boosted defense and is really good coverage against Steel types like Ferrothorn, Bisharp, Melmetal, etc. Iron Head is used for steel STAB and is used so you won't lose to Dragon Dance Dragapult. Roost is to allow you to recover HP. Occa Berry is used to live a fire move once, while Leftovers provides you a little HP recovery.

Why do 248 HP / 8 SpD instead of 252 HP / 4SpD?

Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Mirror Armor
EVs: 252 HP/140 Def/116 SpDef
Careful Nature
- Tailwind
- Fake Tears
- Taunt
- Body Press

Ok, so, corvi, is not a good offensive 'mon. I did some calcs, and realized, it was hot garbage. However, as a joke, I checked if it got tailwind. This is where I got an obscenely tanky boi. He's so beautiful. So majestic.

-1 252+ Atk Landorus-Therian Rock Slide vs. 252 HP / 140 Def Corviknight: 55-65 (13.7 - 16.2%) -- possibly the worst move ever

(Intimidate bounces back)
> 252+ Atk Rillaboom Drain Punch vs. 252 HP / 140 Def Corviknight: 73-87 (18.2 - 21.7%) -- possible 7HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 Atk Urshifu Wicked Blow vs. 252 HP / 140 Def Corviknight on a critical hit: 165-195 (41.2 - 48.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

+3 252 SpA Moltres-Galar Fiery Wrath vs. 252 HP / 116+ SpD Corviknight: 280-330 (70 - 82.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
(After a weakness policy activation AND berserk activating)
252 SpA Life Orb Spectrier Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 116+ SpD Corviknight: 169-200 (42.2 - 50%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Charcoal Heatran Heat Wave vs. 252 HP / 116+ SpD Corviknight: 342-404 (85.5 - 101%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
It somehow has a chance to survive this monstrosity's hit. noice.

Is this for Doubles / VGC? If so, a couple calcs are wrong. There is a move power reduction if the move hits both foes, so in Doubles, the calcs are:

-1 252+ Atk Landorus-Therian Rock Slide vs. 252 HP / 168 Def Corviknight: 40-48 (10 - 12%) -- possibly the worst move ever

+3 252 SpA Moltres-Galar Fiery Wrath vs. 252 HP / 116+ SpD Corviknight: 210-247 (52.5 - 61.7%) -- 97.7% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Charcoal Heatran Heat Wave vs. 252 HP / 116+ SpD Corviknight: 254-302 (63.5 - 75.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

(the above calcs are for Level 100 for both, they're slightly different if they're level 50)
I forgot to click the button :(

Corviknight @ leftovers
Ability: Mirror Armor
Nature: Naive/Timid(whichever one you want)
EVs: 252 HP/ 4Atk/ 252 Speed
Roost/U-Turn: Roost can help with the leftovers/ U-Turn can allow you to run away when weak
Iron Head/Flash Cannon: These moves are good STAB's, but I chose flash cannon because it has a 10% chance of lowering the opposing Pokemon Special Defense by 1 stage
Brave Bird: STAB and roost plus the leftovers will help you
Bulk-up: To help raise stats

by
why flash cannon when the special defense drop doesn't even matter and it has 53 base special attack
You're right, I changed it like a day after

Special set for Corviknight
Role: Sweeper
Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Mirror Armor
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Steel Beam /Flash Cannon
- Hurricane / Air Slash
- Roost
- Nasty Plot

Corviknight can learn steel beam even though the Move Tutor Moves section doesn't list it. Steel Beam and Hurricane are meant for strong stab damage, and is meant roost for recovering health by steel beam or damage taken while setting up nasty plot. nasty plot to boost special attack. I used this moveset a few times and it was was pretty interesting.

by
cool set
lol why are you running a special set on this guy with 53 special attack, that's going to do nothing more than tickle the  opponent, even with nasty plot it just becomes average. Hurricane is a bad choice in terms of accuracy too.
Special corviknight sucks...
pretty cool set if you ask me

Corviknight @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Mirror Armor
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Power Trip
- Agility
- Bulk Up
- Roost

Agility and Bulk up for boost yourself. Roost when your hp is low. When super effective move hit you your stats goes up. And power trip can have more than 200 power.

by
that wouldn't really help if Corviknit is battling against pokemon that resist dark

Role: Physical Tank

Corviknight @Leftovers

Corviknight

EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Def / 4 HP

Adamant Nature (+ Atk, - SpA)

  • Roost

  • Bulk Up

  • Brave Bird

  • Body Press

Roost is for healing damage, especially from Brave Bird's recoil damage. Bulk Up raises its Atk and Def, raising the power of Body Press while also making it stronger Physically. Brave Bird is also strong STAB. Body Press is coverage and the power is high when you use Bulk Up enough. A pretty simple and straightforward moveset.

Iron Head is STAB but with Corviknight's low speed stat it doesn't really matter that much. I think you should replace Iron Head with Roost to heal off damage, especially from STAB Brave Birds, all walls need recovery anyway
nice set!

Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Mirror Armor
EVs: 200 Speed / 252 Atk / 56 Def
Jolly / Adamant Nature
Brave Bird - STAB
Iron Head - STAB
Iron Defense / Roost - Setup
Body Press - Coverage

Sprite

Leftovers is to heal damage taken from Brave Bird. Mirror Armor means it’s stats cannot be lowered. The 200 EVs in speed is to make it faster the a few Pokémon on the field. The 252 in attack is to heighten it’s offensive power. And the 56 is Defense is to make Body Press more powerful. The Jolly nature increases it’s speed, and the adamant attack. Your choice on which you want. Brave Bird is a amazing move to have, and will be raised with the STAB boost. Iron Head is another good move to have, and it will also be raised by STAB boost. Iron Defense is for setup, to make your Corviknight even more bulky, and to make Body Press even more powerful. You could also go for Roost, another good move to have, and will heal damage delt by attacks or Brave Bird. Body Press at this point, it will be a pretty great move, and will cover one of Corviknight’s weakness’s.

Corviknight (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Mirror Armor
Gigantamax: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 120 Def / 16 SpDef / 120Spe
Sassy Nature
IVs: (Max All) 31 HP / 31 Atk / 31 Def / 31 SpA / 31 SpD / 31 Spe
- Brave Bird
- Body Press
- Iron Defense
- Steel Wing
Brave Bird is recoil damage but the Leftovers supports it. Body Press calculates in Defense so we Need Bulk Up or Iron Defense.

This is a horrible set. First of all, you aren't running ANY Attack IVS, you don't have bulk up to boost your body press to do big damage, steel beam is a horrible move for a tanky pokemon, the nature is horrible, as you are DROPPING the defense and Hurricane is NOT good for any sort of defensive tank. -1
I don't like the idea of a Special Sweeping Corviknight, but it is a lot better, so I'll take away my downvote.
(Updated 2.0) Well Brave Bird is a good decision but recoil damage. Hurricane also helps with Special Sweeper and doesn't miss in rain.
I would make it physical if you REALLY want a sweeper.
Just don't have any Special Attacks. Go 252 Atk/120 Def/16 SpDef/120Spe
Hurricane is awful. Use Brave Bird instead.

Corviknight @ Covert Cloak
Ability: Mirror Armor
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Roost
- Body Press
- U-turn
- Brave Bird/Defog

Simple set,Corv is one of the best defensive pivots in OU and its not because of its stats, its corvs typing. This typing helps it switch in on great tusk and pivot out or threaten direct damage with brave bird.Theres Zero speed IVS so your u-turns move last and you can react to what ever move your opponent makes and this will help in Corv vs Corv situations where u-turning is the best choice moving last helps alot.Covert Cloaks counters garg and with corv flying type stone walls curse sets and stealth rock sets.Corv is in my opinion the best defogger and you can defog if your team needs that over brave birds offensive capabilities. The reason for Corviknight being mirror armor over pressure is for mystical fire hattrene if your running defog then pressure is the better choice.
