Why is the Ralts evolution line in the Amorphous egg group?

We have no real answer to this, but one can make assumptions.

One might at first assume that Ralts and its evolution line would be sorted into purely the "Human-Like" Egg Group (Gardevoir is, in fact, based on a ballet dancer and a knight). While the line is in this group, it is also in Amorphous, which you seem to be confused at. It is also stated on Bulbapedia that Gardevoir (and thereby its evolutionary line) is based on the concept of empathy, which is abstract, ergo amorphous.

In addition, Game Freak often sorts Pokemon into Egg Groups based more primarily on type rather than the Pokemon's actual characteristics. Fairy and Psychic Pokemon are often sorted into Amorphous.

All in all, while one can make a compelling argument for Ralts and its line to be solely in the Human-Like Egg Group, the decision is ultimately Game Freak's. Whether or not they have an actual rationale behind their decision to also put the line in Amorphous is unknown and, frankly, unimportant.

It’s possible that the Ralts line are considered amorphous because of their flowy appearances, but I think it’s more likely that they’re amorphous because they’re shapeshifters. Remember that they can have the Ability Trace (except for Gallade). They can copy their opponents’ Abilities, including physiology-based Abilities like Fluffy, Tough Claws, Ice Body, and Compound Eyes. How do they accomplish this? By transforming their bodies. Therefore, their bodies must be somewhat amorphous. And Gallade probably can’t shapeshift, but it presumably maintains a similar body composition to its pre-evos.

Your assumption is incorrect. I can say this for sure because I happen to know the person that wrote this, but some other signs...

- ChatGPT came out more than a year after the answer was written.
- Text generators have a specific cadence and near-identical sentence structures (e.g. little variation in length). This is not the case above.
- Text generators do not tend to use words like "ergo" or use adverbs so liberally.

@Amethyst Ah. Sorry for the wrongful accusation. I shouldn’t have assumed. I’ll remove that bit from my answer. If it’s okay with you, I would like it if you removed the downvote on my answer if possible, as I’d like the original commenter to see and consider it. I haven’t heard of anyone else bringing up the shapeshifter angle, and I think it has a lot of merit.
