Is the information about Pokémon on the bottom corner of Pokémon cards the same as one of it’s Pokédex entries?

And if so, does it use a Pokédex entry from the generation of games released when the card series came out?

There are also instances where the text isn’t a Pokedex Entry, such as the cards from the Double Crisis expansion. Also, some cards don’t have flavor text, like the SP cards from DPPt Expansions. :P

Not sure what you mean with first edition Charizard being an example of it, but it does share a Dex entry with Red/Blue.

The question is asking whether there are any cards with a Pokedex entry from a game that's not the newest game. That Charizard was released in 1996, when the newest games were Red and Blue, so it's not an example of what the question is asking for.

Yeah i think this question is definitely  trivial as it would need somebody to check practically every Pokemon card ever, and cross reference it to the Pokedex Entries. Which would take years.

I decided to clear flags. I think a sufficient answer to this question is "as far as we can tell, yes". The research people have done in the comments suggests that answer is correct. There may be some exceptions, which a person could mention if/when they are found.
