I am building a Rock Monotype team, and I don't where to start. I am planning on Shuckle as a lead. I wanted to use my Lycanroc Dusk. So what roles do I need, and what Pokémon should fill them?

Is this ingame?
I'm just suggesting that it is
No, online monotype battles.
Ok, thanks
I had an answer I almost had done that went in depth, but I have to redo it. ;-; I'll probably start tomorrow morning.

Tyranitar is likely the most necessary Pokémon on Rock-type teams because its ability raises the whole team's special defence by 1.5 times.

Tyranitar @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch

Next, you'll need a Choice Scarf user to revenge kill boosted opponents.

Terrakion @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Poison Jab

You'll next need a non-Choice sweeper that can outspeed and sweep through multiple opponents without needing to switch.

Nihilego @ Power Herb
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 80 HP / 176 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Sludge Wave
- Meteor Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Grass Knot

Sticky Web support lets Tyranitar outspeed more stuff.

Shuckle @ Mental Herb
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Sticky Web
- Knock Off
- Encore

Rather than typing the sets by hand, it'd be easier for you if you'd import them from Showdown/Smogon.
I have a strong feeling sumwun deliberately de-capitalises the first letter of many words cause they hate capital letters lol. "sumwun" in itself is the biggest example.
The sets that I recommend are sometimes slightly different from the ones from Smogon. It's much easier to edit them manually than it is to use Showdown!'s teambuilder to edit them.

You will need need a support Pokemon as Rock types while they are quite defensive they do tend to have many weaknesses, a good option would be Shuckle with the highest defences in the games, here's the EVs, Nature and moveset for it

Shuckle

Nature: Impish
Ability: Sturdy
Item:Leftovers
EVs : 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD

-Stealth Rock
-Stick Web
-Encore
-Knock Off

You will also need a sweeper as well and with Gen 8 introducing Body Press you will be able to pick a varity of Pokemon since they tend to have really solid defence, like Rhyperior for example

Rhyperior
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Special Defense / 252 Defense
Nature: Impish (+Defense -Special Attack)
Item:Assult Vest

-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Megahorn
-Body Press

Why Gluttony on Shuckle instead of Sturdy?
changed it
Aggron isn't good in Monotype. Rhyperior outclasses Aggron as a Weakness Policy user. Also, Shuckle runs Knock Off and Encore over Infestation and Gyro Ball. And Shuckle's EV spread should be 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD.
that is true I will alter my answer a bit, thanks for the help :)
