How did Earthquake hit my Charizard for super-effective damage in LGP/E?

U need to give some more context on the battle. like Tops123 said if you mega evolved Charizard into mega Charizard X it will loose the flying type and become a fire dragon type making ground type moves 2x effective against it.

I did mega evolve and that is exactly why appreciate it bro and I was destroying  blue at his gym post game and he was using Rhydon

There are only 3 possible reasons as to why this may be the case, although we won't know which possibility it is specifically until we know more about the battle you had.

1. Your Charizard used Roost at the beginning of the turn before Earthquake were to hit your Charizard. When a Pokemon uses Roost, it loses its Flying type up until the beginning of the next turn. This would allow Earthquake to hit your Charizard and land super effective damage.
2. Your Charizard mega evolved into Mega Charizard X, which would result in Charizard's Flying type being changed to be Dragon type. Thus, it'd be hit by Earthquake, and for super effective damage.
3. You weren't using a Charizard at all, or your opponent used a different move entirely.

Unless your game is hacked or you're playing on an emulator, these are all the possible reasons as to why Earthquake would land on your Charizard.

There is also a possibility of Gravity being in effect.

Gravity doesn't exist in LGP/E, otherwise it and the item Ring Target could be considered into account.

Do smack down, soak, or electrify exist in LGPE?

Held items aren't in let's go pikachu/eevee so it can't have been ring target.
