Hail Team Regice

Regice @ Leftovers
Ability: Ice Body / Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 58 SpA
Sassy Nature
- Explosion
- Curse
- Toxic / Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt / Blizzard

This moveset is pretty good for a Hail team, but this set can also generally be used in a regular set. We have Explosion there as a last resort for when Regice is about to get KO'ed. Curse is the buff which will power up Explosion while helping cover its Defense stat. Toxic and Thunder Wave are for crippling sweepers with Thunder Wave, or stalling (when you have a bunch of Curses up, you'll be a crazy wall) with Toxic. Than last is your only attack; which you have Blizzard (100 accuracy in Hail) or Thunderbolt in for some extra coverage. You may want Ice Beam there, but l'm sure your opponent would be thinking you have Ice Beam obviously since this is an Ice type, but surprise them with Thunderbolt instead! You never know when it may come in handy.

**This moveset is based on Generation IV. With minor changes, you can make this an effective Generation V moveset.*

Regice, despite being in the bin of unused Pokemon in ZU, has some viability and a niche in NU.

Gen 8 SS NU Substitute + Charge Beam

Regice @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Charge Beam
- Ice Beam
- Focus Blast

Regice has a niche as an Ice-type that has good coverage, high special bulk and can take advantage of Pokemon such as Vileplume and Stakataka in SS NU. This is a Substitute + Charge Beam set. This set won two battles in the NU SCL. Substitute is used to protect yourself from status and takes advantage of the switches Regice force. Charge Beam is used for a move that has a 50% chance to boost your special attack, which can allow Regice to sweep behind a Substitute. Charge Beam is also useful since Vaporeon isn't as common. Ice Beam alongside Charge Beam provides useful coverage against most Pokemon of the tier. Focus Blast allows Regice to hit Steel-types such as Stakataka, Copperajah, and Galarian Stunfisk super effectively. Thunderbolt can be used instead of Charge Beam for a stronger electric attack, but it would make Regice miss out on the special attack boosts from Charge Beam. Leftovers is used as the item to give Regice a form of HP recovery, which is useful since this set has Substitute.

Regice @ Leftovers
Ability: Ice Body / Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 64 Def / 192 SpA
Modest Nature
- Ice Beam / Blizzard
- Thunder Wave
- Focus Blast
- Thunderbolt

Regice can take a hit, Obviously and then paralyze the foe. Hit back with STAB Ice Beam/Blizzard
Which depends on if you have support by the ability Snow Warning, So does the ability.
Focus Blast and Thunderbolt for extra coverage.

My favorite new sweeper. It swept many teams by himself.

Regice @ Life Orb
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Rock Polish
- Focus Blast

This Regice has been completely reverted to Special Attacker. 100 Base Special Attack is awesome to work with. Rock Polish boosts his Speed to close to 400. It's 398, to be exact. Ice Beam is STAB and usually 2HKO'es when unresisted. Thunderbolt makes the BoltBeam coverage and Focus Blast is additional coverage.

"I'm Mr. White Chrismas, I'm Mr. Snow
I'm Mr. Icicle, I'm Mr. 10 below
Friends call me Snow Miser, whatever I touch
Turns to snow in my clutch, HAHA!
I'm too much..."

Where was I? Oh, right.
Hail Assault Vest Regice
Regice sprite from Ruby & Sapphire
Regice @ Assault Vest
Ability: Ice Body
EVs: 252 Def / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Blizzard
- Focus Blast
- Flash Cannon
- Thunderbolt

Regice already has the second best Sp. Defense stat, with the highest being Shuckle, but the Assault Vest gives it a whooping 655 Special Defense, allowing Regice to tank several hits from a super effective STAB Special attack. This Regice set should typically be used in hail for Blizzard, Regice's strong STAB attack to always be accurate, and Ice Body, which recovers as much HP as Leftovers when used in hail, allowing it to remedy not using Leftovers in place of the Assault Vest. Focus Blast is good coverage against troubling Ice, Rock and Steel types, just be careful of it being inaccurate. Flash Cannon is there primarily for Fairy types, and also works as coverage against Rock and Ice types you're sure that Flash Cannon and Focus Blast would both OHKO, but don't want Focus Blast to miss. Thunderbolt helps against troubling Water types that can wall the set. The EV spread and Nature maximize Sp. Attack and Defense to hit harder and survive physical attacks, as most Rock, Fighting and Fire type Pokemon in tiers Regice is utilized in are Physical attackers.

Oh Look, a Legendary that Is at the lowest tier, ZU.

Gen 8

Regice @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Def / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Curse
- Seismic Toss
- Ice Beam
- Thunder Wave

• Curse

T A N K

• Seismic Toss

A good physical attacking move that does 100 damage, so that you have
a decent physical attacking move when your physical attack is
literally just 50.

• Ice Beam

CURSE YOU!! ALTARIA!! I AM A BETTER TANK!!

• Thunder Wave

A decent supporting move that lowers the opposing Pokemon speed,
Regice could curse itself first, so more annoyence!

Role: A supporting wall

Good set, but the EVs could be improved. It'll have better overall survivability with (( 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD )) than with (( 252 Def / 252 SpD )).
