Role: Rain Tank

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 128 HP / 252 Def / 128 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Swagger
- Psych Up
- Zen Headbutt
- Iron Head

Those of you who have fought this, would agree, its quite a pain in the rain ( What a pun )

Swagger up your opponent, ( Best on Special Sweepers ) And even use it twice for the extra boost if you wanna, Psych it up, and Tank around using Zen Headbutt and Iron Head.

It also works great agaisn't anything that's already boosting one of it's defenses to quickly copy the boost, while also screwing over baton passing teams, and the rain gives it no weaknesses.

Go Zong!

I'd personally replace zen headbutt with rain dance, as well as replace iron head with gyro ball

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Heatproof
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef or EVs: 252 HP / 216 Atk / 40 Def
Relaxed or Brave Nature
- Gyro Ball
- Substitute/Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Toxic

A Bronzong able to survive a Flare Blitz by Darmanitan and then KO with Earthquake. Heatproof is actually a solid ability. As long as the foe doesn't have a Spikes up or you manage to switch in on an Earthquake, most foes will be unable to tell that you have Heatproof and not Levitate, even if they go at you with a Fire type attack. And since they usually figure you have Levitate and don't want to waste a turn testing if you do, you'll usually go through the game not getting a Ground type move directed at you. The EVs allow it to survive a Flare Blitz even after having put a Sub up. This means you get to KO the Darmanitan and not the other way around. I like using a Sub on the first turn to see if a foe is going to switch in with a Fire type (mainly Darmanitan). Of course, that is just me. If you aren't battling by my standard "No Stealth Rock" rules, then you'll probably be best off using the second set of Evs, Nature, and Stealth Rock over Substitute. That way you can get your rocks up. The first EV/Nature set is for use with Substitute. Second is for use with Stealth Rock. The Substitute set gives you a 2HKO vs. Darmanitan, and thanks to Sub being up, you are guaranteed to be the winner of that fight. With the second set, this is guaranteed to OHKO Darmanitan with Stealth Rocks up.

For both sets, sure you pretty much sacrificed Bronzong, but you took down a dangerous foe in doing so. The rest of the moveset is for if you don't run up against a Physical Fire type, but in my experience, I'll be facing a Darmanitan most matches.

Thanks to PB for running off the much needed damage calculations.

Bronxong
Bronzong @ Choice Band
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Zen Headbutt
- Trick
- Stealth Rock/Hypnosis/Trick Room/Rain Dance/Sunny Day/ Gyro Ball

This set is designed to cripple and destroy Bronzongs biggest threats in the UU tier. The Choice Band allows it to OHKO every Fire type in UU bar Rotom-H and Intimidate Arcenine. Zen Headbutt is there to deal big damage on Nidoking and Taunting Crobats. Trick screws over the rest of the tier. Very few common defensive/tank switch-ins enjoy getting a Choice Band, and some notable Pokemon threatened by this is:
Gligar, Porygon2, Suicune, Blastoise, Milotic, Chandelure, other Bronzongs, Empoleon, Confagrigus, Dusclops, Slowbro, Xatu.
The last slot is really dependant on what you need. With Bronzongs vast movepool it can fullfill many roles.

For gyro ball brave nature would be better in my opinion

Guys, Bronzong is mostly used as a Lead:

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Serious Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Reflect / Light Screen
- Toxic
- Psychic / Flash Cannon

Note: The op didn’t put the nature, so I put a neutral nature.

Nothing wrong with this set of OVER A YEAR AGO, so there is no need to vote down.
Not the best of sets, but again OVER A YEAR AGO and nothing wrong so no need to vote down.
doesn't mean you have to make it a lead :P

Bronzong @ Iron Ball
Ability: Heavy Metal
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Heavy Slam
- Earthquake
- Explosion
- Payback

STAB Heavy Slam combined with Heavy Metal and Iron Ball is nice, makes nice base power.
Earthquake is super effective on everything recisting steel type moves exept water wich it hits neutral on.
Payback also makes use of iron ball.
!!!BOOM is a last resort.

This, but I would have a psychic type move over explosion as the opponent wau not try to take you out. A suggestion, switching heavy slam for gyro ball, giving levitate over heavy metal, brave over adamant and macho brace over iron ball is a good set also.

Iron Defense + Body Press
Gen 8 NU

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Heatproof
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 40 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Iron Defense
- Body Press
- Psychic / Stealth Rock / Toxic
- Toxic / Stealth Rock / Psychic

Iron Defense + Body Press Bronzong, also known as Ironpress Zong. The ability is Heatproof over Levitate because there are better ground immunities in the tier. Heatproof also makes Bronzong one of the best checks to Overheat Exploud. It also halves burn damage, so you can actually recover from a potential Scald burn, since Heatproof halves the burn damage from 6% to 3%. Iron Defense boosts your defense stat. Body Press works well with your Iron Defense boosts and allows you to beat Pokemon like Copperajah. Psychic can be used for opposing Pokemon like Toxicroak and Salazzle. Toxic is an option to poison opposing Pokemon. Stealth Rock is an option for setting up rocks your opponent's side. Do note that the last two slots in this moveset aren't set in stone, it basically depends on what your team needs.

Gen 8 NU

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Heatproof / Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Iron Defense
- Body Press
- Shadow Ball
- Rest

This is pretty much the standard Smogon set, but with Shadow Ball as the filler move. Iron Defense boosts your defense and allows you to become a setup sweeper. Body Press is your main attack as it allows you to deal with Pokemon like Tyrantrum and Copperajah, and it takes advantage of the Iron Defense boosts. Shadow Ball is what people are starting to use due to the increased Xatu usage. Shadow Ball is also useful against Pokemon who resist fighting moves and ghost types like Decidueye and Doublade. Rest is for recovery. Heatproof is the preferred ability so you won't get OHKOed by fire coverage from Pokemon like Exploud, but Levitate works if you really need a ground immunity, and Levitate can be useful against Silvally-Ground.

Bronzong @ Occa Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Def
Brave Nature
- Trick Room
- Explosion
- Gyro Ball
- Rock Slide
Trick Room lets it have a nice chance to go first. Explosion can let your other team members get in to the battle. Gyro Ball hits hard because of it’s low speed. Rock Slide is coverage and can flinch.

I kinda run mine with a different set up...

Bronzong @ Zoom Lens
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Hypnosis
- Rock Slide
- Zen Headbutt
- Gyro Ball

Reasoning:
Hypnosis (accuracy is 80% now)
Rockslide (handles fire weakness, accuracy boosted)
Zen Headbutt (STAB, accuracy boosted)
Gyro Ball (STAB, REALLY low speed)

I dont really expect this to be THE BEST moveset, but its nice to have type coverage and some decent STAB moves, and to combo them with a move that has a decent chance of putting your opponent to sleep, you've got a decent Bronzong.
One of the main contributers to this set is his Defense and Sp. Def, so if you're gonna run him with this set up, be sure to focus on that, and maybe throw some boosts and a sub onto him with a B-Passer

I'm noticing that there's not many answers for Gen VI (Sooo many Move Tutor moves..Urgh!) So here's a solid Gen VI Trick Room Zong!

enter image description here

Bronzong @ Macho Brace
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Brave Nature
- Trick Room
- Earthquake
- Gyro Ball
- Payback

· Gyro Ball is a necessity for this setup. It's STAB and with it's power boosted by the speed drop from the Macho Brace, it hits home! Very useful for stamping out all the new Fairy Type Pokemon! Here is the base power calculations:

Gyro Ball's power is calculated as such: 25 x (TargetSpeed) / (YourSpeed)
So, lets say your speed is 10 and theirs is 60 for simplicitys sake.
25 x 60 / 10 = 150. Ouch. (Max power)
But take off the Macho Brace:
25 x 60 / 20 = 75. Meh..

· You can also always switch out the Macho Brace for the popular Leftovers option for that ever useful health boost every turn. Try experimenting with the two items, as Bronzong is very versatile!

· The rest of the moveset is pretty straight forward: Trick Room for always moving first, Earthquake for Fire Repellent/cover, and Payback for taking advantage of slow speed, cover, and Ghost Repellent.

that isn't how macho brace works. It doesn't increase power
STP, the Macho Brace lowers you speed.

Gyro Ball's damage is calculated by how fast you are compared to your opponent.

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Toxic
- Block
- Rain Dance
- Gyro Ball
Toxic wears down the opponent. Block traps them, making toxic damage hard to avoid. Rain Dance reduces the power of fire attacks. Gyro Ball takes advantage of it’s bad speed.

In almost every situation, it's better to max HP than to split between each defensive stat. 252 HP EVs are indeed slightly less effective than 252 Def EVs at blocking physical attacks (or 252 SpD EVs for special attacks), but HP EVs affect *both* stats, which makes them almost universal on defensive Pokemon.

You shouldn't be setting weather via a move. Use a weather setter.
You do make a fair point.

Physical Wall/Dual Screens
Bronzor @ Eviolite
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Iron Defense / Toxic
- Gyro Ball
- Reflect
- Light Screen

Iron defense isn't very good too.
Iron defense isn't the best, but it can be useful. I do think that Toxic would be a MUCH better choice though.

Gen 7 Ubers (Xerneas Counter)

Bronzong @ Iron Ball
Ability: Heatproof
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Gyro Ball
- Zen Headbutt
- Earthquake
- Explosion / Stealth Rock / Payback

As you can tell, this set has no speed investment at all. This is so you get the best damage output from Gyro Ball possible. With this set, there’s a 56.3% chance that Gyro Ball will OHKO. Zen Headbutt is STAB, Earthquake is coverage, Explosion is a last resort, Stealth Rock breaks things such as Multiscale Dragonite and Focus Sash users, and Payback is more coverage.

Gen 8 NU

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD , 252 HP / 236 Def / 16 SpA , or 252 HP / 212 Def / 40 SpA
Relaxed / Impish / Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Spe (If running Gyro Ball)
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
- Protect
- Gyro Ball / Iron Head / Psychic

Stealth Rock is to cripple Pokémon when they switch in. Toxic is to wear down the opponent. Protect is to get a free turn of Leftovers recovery. Gyro Ball is STAB.

EV spread and move alternatives
You can run Iron Head over Gyro Ball as an alternative Steel STAB. If you use Iron Head, run Impish nature. Alternatively, you can use Psychic instead of a Steel type STAB. Psychic is rather rare on Bronzong but can catch Pokémon in the tier such as Vileplume, Bewear, and Mienshao off gaurd. If you run Psychic, run Bold nature. For the EV spread, you can run 252 HP / 236 Def / 16 SpA to 2HKO Vileplume after Vileplume getting hurt by Stealth Rock, or 252 HP / 212 Def / 40 SpA to always 2HKO Vileplume.

Trick Room/Dual Screens
Bronzong @ Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Psychic
I always prefer having Levitate over Heatproof, why reduce a weakness to neutral when you could neutralize one? Bronzong is naturally pretty tanky, and so the Trick Room will make it fast enough to put both its screens up. You should prioritize the screen that you're taking the most type of damage from. When you're done with your screens, Psychic is powerful, compliments it's SpA, is STAB, and is only resisted by Psychic and Steel, with Dark not being touched by it.

Bronzong @ Leftovers / Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Flash Cannon / Psyshock
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Trick Room

Trick Room setter and support Pokemon. Set up Trick Room to for team, and Light Screen/Reflect for added bulk to your team. Flash Cannon ad Psyshock are STAB moves if you get Taunted or if you need them. Light Clay is also another option for Leftovers if you want Screens to last longer.

Have fun using this set, hope I helped! :D

Skill Swap Surprise
Gen 8 NU

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate / Heavy Metal?
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 40 SpA / 128 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Skill Swap
- Body Press
- Psychic
- Iron Defense / Shadow Ball

As the bolded name suggests, this set brings the surpise factor of Skill Swap. The move Skill Swap is to swap your ability for another one that can be used to your advantage. For example, using Skill Swap on a non Roar Vaporeon so you can obtain Water Absorb, causing you to become immune to water moves. Another example is against Magic Bounce Xatu, and you can be the one to obtain Magic Bounce. Body Press is for attacking Pokemon like Tyrantrum and Exploud. Psychic is to attack opposing Pokemon like Salazzle and Vileplume. Iron Defense is to boost defense and can be used if you don't use Skill Swap on Mudsdale. Shadow Ball is an option so you can hit Xatu super effectively.

Gen 8 NU

Bronzong @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Heatproof
EVs: 248 HP / 40 Def / 220 SpD
Impish Nature
- Body Press
- Earthquake
- Heavy Slam
- Trick

Another user on Showdown made this set. It's an interesting set, so here it is. This is a defensive 3 Attacks + Trick Toxic Orb set. Body Press is pretty much the move you're using most of the time. Earthquake allows you hit poison types like Toxicroak, Garbodor, and Salazzle super effectively. Heavy Slam is STAB that allows you to deal super effective damage to fairy types like Sylveon and Diancie. Trick is for giving a Pokemon your Toxic Orb while you get their item. Wheter it is a Rocky Helmet from Xatu, Heavy Duty Boots from Arcanine, or a Leftovers from Vaporeon, Trick + Toxic Orb is fun to mess around with, but you do miss out on Leftovers recovery if you don't gain one with by using Trick.

Gen 9 NU Demon Zong

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Fairy / Water
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD or 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Bold / Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Iron Defense
- Stored Power
- Body Press

The Demon Bronzong set that is used in NU. Demon Bronzong has been getting usage in NU due to it being able to setup alongside Calm Mind Cresselia and 1v1 it. Demon Zong is also nice to counter Pokemon such as Flygon, Torterra, and Cloyster lacking Tera Blast Ghost. Calm Mind and Iron Defense allowing Bronzong to boost it's Special Attack, Special Defense, Defense stats allow Bronzong to have a scary offensive and defensive presence, being able to hit hard while being hard to wear down once it gets the stat boosts it needs. Stored Power is used for the Psychic STAB since it allows Bronzong to have a powerful move that takes advantage of the stat boosts from Calm Mind and Iron Defense. Body Press is nice alongside Stored Power and Iron Defense since it can let Bronzong deal out more damage if it doesn't have enough stat boosts for Stored Power to be a powerful move. Body Press also prevents Bronzong from being walled by Dark-types such as Incineroar, Alolan Muk, and Umbreon. Tera Fairy lets Bronzong resist Dark moves and allows Bronzong to completely blank Flygon. Water is an option for the Tera Type to have a nice defensive typing. The EV spread and Nature you used depends on wheter you want Bronzong to tank physical hits or special hits better, which depends on your team's needs. Bold Nature is used with 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD, while Calm Nature is used with 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD.
