Give experts the ability to collectively hide a post.

Question

By that I mean, have an "expert's flag" sort of deal, where if 3 experts flag a post, it gets hidden.
Sometimes (some=most), we get hide-worthy posts while no editors/mods are on, and about 5-6 experts are on, and we just facepalm until it gets 5 flags (which takes for ever because people don't care enough to flag).

Why not just make expert flags count as 2-3 flags instead of 1? Posts get hidden when they reach 5 flags, so if it really is invalid, it'll be hidden much faster with the influence of experts speeding that up.

That might work better and be alot easier for you to implement, so yeah.

Yeah this actually makes sense, although it can be misused quite easily. I think that the user should be atleast *insert number* old before this counts :P

People who have just newly become expert will always be curious to see they're 'newfound powers' and will, at times, do all sorts of stunts. So that's why I suggest a time period after which this power should be granted.

Not really.
Getting to expert takes time - in that period of time, most users will understand what they're supposed to do and what they aren't.
Also, it requires more than 1 expert to hide it, so even if one wanted to try out out their powers, without the backing of other more experienced experts they wouldn't be able to do jack.

Imo this may work, as getting five flags on a rule-breaking answer or question is a headache and is indeed takes some time to be fully achieved.
As Expert+ users would already be knowledgeable about the site, this won't create much of a problem of them 'misusing' this in some way.

This isnt a bad idea, but I don't see much of a point in it currently. Mods and editors are generally pretty quick to close or hide things that break the rules after they're flagged.
