No offence Ninja, but I personally wouldn't see this as justified reasoning. First one seems fine, but just because they don't have concrete evidence, doesn't mean it didn't happen. No one would have made this type of claim without some kind of reasoning, even if it's just a misunderstanding of rules. He wanted to know if Mods have exceptions to rules, because it seemed that way. You didn't really answer him.
Also, even if it is a bit silly to do something just because someone said too, doesn't make it take any blame of the person who said it. If the government did tell someone to jump of a building, and they did, then imagine about much BS the government would get for that. If a mod told me I could say a word I thought I couldn't, I'd say it, because Mods are ambassadors to the site's rules. Most users, especially newer ones, take a site's Mod's word and site's law.
Btw, it might have not be a convo about religion. People are allowed to not like things that offend them, and they shouldn't have to put up with it either. I don't put up with people using the fgt term to reference a gay man, so why should anyone put up with something that offends their beliefs and way of life? If they were openly discussing Religion, then fair enough, their fault for talking about banned stuff, ofc something's gonna offend them, that's why it's banned. But if they were just talking in general, and someone offended them, then they have the right to complain.
