The next PokeBase tournament, hosted by 湿ったマフィン, will start in approximately one week. But before that, the participants can vote for which tournament will run. Details about each of the options are in the tournament suggestions thread. Use the poll linked below to make your choice.

September PokeBase tournament poll

Instructions:

  • Please only vote if you intend on participating in the tournament (though voting does not commit you to participating).
  • To prevent repeat votes, you must give a link to your PokeBase account. It is set up so you cannot plainly write your username.
  • To make sure the votes are authentic, please leave a comment on this thread if you voted.
  • This isn't the sign up thread -- you'll need to sign up to the tournament separately when the official thread goes up.

Confirming that I voted :O
Isn't Super Staff Bros only for Staff Members or Something?
Just voted. Also, I think it would be a good idea to link the tournament suggestion thread on these voting posts, so that people can easily read up on the details for each tournament.
I voted.
@Gatik The staff members decide what movesets people are allowed to use in this tournament, but any Pokebase user can play in it.
@KRLW I agree.
SSB for DB is technically incomplete (or, at the very least, in a early “Beta” version) until more active Experts/Editors/Mods/Users with higher ranks on DB Showdown! Or DB Discord add their sets, so I’d want to hold it off until it does get sets (Unless if a decent amount of staff decide it is worth their time sending a set within this week). :P

Regardless, I am putting my vote in right after commenting this.
Just voted, idk if I can tbh, but I saw psyklone in their own tourney participating, so uhh, ye
I voted.
I voted in it.
I have voted.
I voted. (filler)
I've voted.
I voted in the poll
when are we getting poll results?
It lasts for a week, so therefore, 5 days from now, or technically 4 if you count today as done. Basically, the 14th (or 15th) depending on ur timezone
cool thanks.
Agree with what you mentioned @KRLW, I'll put that in the guidelines so it'll be done next time.
if I vote, but but my vote doesn't win and I don't like what format wins, do I still have to participate?
"This isn't the sign up thread -- you'll need to sign up to the tournament separately when the official thread goes up." You shouldn't have to (but I would love if you did ecks dee)
I think you should not participate if you think you won't enjoy the tournament.
I have voted in the poll.
@sumwun that's what I'm saying. I mean I guess you could vote if you didn't want to sign up, but that's just wack
I have decided to vote for this tournament. I haven't played competitive Pokemon in a while, especially a tourney, so sure, why not. Hope it's not something too weird.
I voted (duplicate comment)
Voted.

Sharing the poll results a bit early -- the host will need some time to set up the thread. (The results are extremely unlikely to change within the next day.)

We will be hosting a Gen 8 OU tournament!

66.7% of you voted to play a standard format instead of one of the suggestions from the thread. From there, 50% of you voted for Gen 8 OU.

The top voted tourney from the suggestion thread was the Pokemon Trainer tournament (33.3%). The least voted tourney was Mix and Mega (11.1%), so it will drop off the next poll (though, of course, it will be eligible for the poll after that).

does that mean that the next tourney is the Pokemon Trainer Tourney?
I'm pretty sure the next tourney is Gen 8 OU.
The tourney after Gen 8 OU will have a another poll (just like this one), where the Pokemon Trainer tournament will appear again as an option, and presumably win.
OK, thanks.
Wait... does standard format mean that we have to play the regular format or do we have to play the particular tournament in that particular format?

I mean is it Gen 8 OU tour or Pokémon Trainer Tourney held in Gen 8 OU format?
It's standard Gen 8 OU with no modifications.
