Eternatus @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Agility
- Sludge Wave
- Dynamax Cannon
- Flamethrower

After an Agility, Eternatus will outspeed everything in Ubers, plus basically every choice scarfer. Even without Weakness Policy, Eternatus is really strong.

Why 4 attack? You only have status and special moves.
whoops
Eternatus Attack sucks compared to it's specail attack.
i didn't even put a physical attack on this moveset?
Only 4 HP investment? You should be like 252 Hp/ 252 Sp.A/ 8 Spe so that you outsped most common threats, why go bother 252 Spe meaning you can lack any kind of bulk?
Frozen Inferno this is not a bulky set. It is going to live a hit anyway and you can't have 8 speed, only 4.

Eternatus @ Black Sludge
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Cosmic Power
- Toxic
- Recover
- Mystical Fire

Pressure stall. Cosmic Power raises defenses, Toxic wears down anything other than Poison and Steel types, Recover is a recovery move, and Mystical Fire takes out Steel types.

I'd instead use 252 + 252 Def + 4 sp. Atk with mystical fire if want your ev spread use flamethrower
Just be careful of Spectral Thief Marshadow as it can become a Tank in 1 move and remove your boosts.

Eternatus @ Dragon Fang
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 Spe / 252 SpD
Modest Nature
- Eternabeam
- Sludge Bomb
- Flamethrower
- Recover

With Dragon Fang, 252 EV on SpA and 31 IV on all stats, Eternatus will OHKO a lot of Pokemon with Eternabeam. Sludge Bomb is a nice STAB move, and has a good chance to poison. Flamethrower for coverage and Recover to stay in battle. Eternatus is pretty fast and it has a nice HP, that's why I prefer to give 252 EVs on SpD. Hyper Train it with a Gold Bottle Cap.

I don't know how useful a Dragon Fang would be here. Wouldn't it be better to give it Leftovers just for that much extra recovery?
[MEGA]StellarLucario My idea is max out the damage of Eternabeam to one hit K.O almost every Pokémon and deal a lot of damage with sludge bomb (stab) and flamethrower (coverage). Dragon Fang is very important to boost Eternabeam. Leftovers can be replaced by Recover in this situation.
You generally don't want a special attacker with a perfect Attack IV stat.
Nice, but if you are using Eternatus as a highly offensive attacker here, then I would use more EV on the speed.
Why eternabeam? You can’t move on the next turn. 2 dynamax cannons would be better. Plus power doubles for dynamax cannon if the opponent is dynamaxed or gigantimaxed.

Eternatus

[Gen 8] Anything Goes

Expert Belt Draco Meteor lure

Eternatus @ Expert Belt
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 16 HP / 152 SpA / 252 SpD / 88 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Bomb
- Draco Meteor
- Flamethrower
- Recover

This is really an underrated set, imo. If you had played AG before, then SpD Eternatus vs Eternatus war is very common, as each seeks to waste Dynamax Cannon's valuable PP while Recover stalling. But this set is a lure, with the more niche Draco Meteor over Dynamax Cannon being able to OHKO with Expert Belt.

Flamethrower has a nice roll to 2HKO physically defensive NDM which can be easily exploited. Sludge Bomb poisoning Ho-Oh and Yveltal so that they can't wall you forever, also prevents Xerneas from freely setting up on you.

The SpA EVs + nature hit 400 Base SpA, which is enough to OHKO other Eternatus. 88 Spe is for outspeeding base 95s, mainly Kyurem-W. The rest of HP EVs are just a dump, while 252 SpD preserve your bulk.

152+ SpA Expert Belt Eternatus Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 164 SpD Eternatus: 504-593 (104.1 - 122.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

152+ SpA Expert Belt Eternatus Flamethrower vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Prism Armor Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: 184-216 (46.2 - 54.2%) -- 96.1% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

152+ SpA Expert Belt Eternatus Sludge Bomb vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Xerneas: 403-475 (102.5 - 120.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Eternatus @ Toxic Plate
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Sludge Wave
- Dragon Tail
- Dynamax Cannon
- Flamethrower

Nothing that special. Sludge Wave is pretty powerful when boosted by Toxic Plate, Dragon Tail is to stop things from setting up, Dynamax Cannon is good STAB that takes care of dynamax Pokemon, and Flamethrower can roast Ferrothorn.

Awesome Pokémon. That’s all I can say.

Eternatus @ Choice Scarf / Choice Specs
EVs: 252 Spe / 252 SpA / 4 HP
Ability: Pressure
Timid Nature / Modest Nature
- Dynamax Cannon
- Sludge Bomb / Sludge Wave
- Flametrhower
- Psychic

Dynamax Cannon - Dragon STAB, already strong enough without the Dynamax boost.
Sludge Bomb / Sludge Wave- Poison STAB, you choose either better chance of poisoning target or higher base power.
Flamethrower - Coverage against Ice types.
Shadow Ball - Nice knowing you, Psychic types.

Pretty basic moveset, there aren't a ton of great moves for Eternatus to learn, but with the ones they can pull off, they’re beasts.

Eternatus @ Power Herb
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Modest
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
- Meteor Beam
- Dynamax Cannon
- Sludge Wave
- Flamethrower

• Meteor Beam: Raises Special Attack and hits very hard because it hits after the Special Attack boost. One turn because of Power Herb
• Dynamax Cannon: Strong STAB, the power boost against Dynamaxed Pokémon is helpful
• Sludge Wave: Strong STAB
• Flamethrower: Good power and coverage

Start with Meteor Beam to raise Special Attack and potentially knock out the opposing Pokémon with its great power, then you can sweep.

Love the power herb and meteor beam combo, that’s pretty dope

Gen 8 Doubles Ubers

Eternatus @ Black Sludge / Sitrus Berry
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 84 Def / 176 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Cosmic Power
- Toxic
- Recover
- Flamethrower

Stally sets aren't really good in doubles, but DaWoblefet destroyed me with a set similar to this in a room tour a few months ago so I thought I'd post it here (I didn't know the EV spread so I made my own one). All credit for this set goes to him.

Cosmic Power boosts Eternatus' defences to sky-high levels, making it extremely hard to KO without getting any crits. Even attacking it with both of your Pokémon on the same turn won't do a lot of damage if Eternatus accumalates several Cosmic Power boosts. Toxic puts the target on a fast ticking timer. Recover gives Eternatus reliable recovery. Flamethrower is the attacking move of choice because it hits the many steel types in the metagame that are immune to Toxic. 84 defence EVs allow Eternatus to survive either a Glacial Lance from Calyrex-Ice and Precipice Blades from Groudon at full health before Eternatus gets a single Cosmic Power boost (making both the aforementioned attacks a 2HKO when it's got two Cosmic Power boosts). Intimidate from Incineroar can also patch up Eternatus' lower defence stat. Black Sludge provides passive recovery while Sitrus Berry (which is what DaWoblefet used) gives Eternatus instant recovery.

Choice Specs Wallbreaker

Eternatus @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Sludge Wave
- Dynamax Cannon
- Mystical Fire / Flamethrower
- Shadow Ball

A pretty basic set if you ask me. Pressure is Eternatus' only ability, so might as well put it in there. Sludge Wave is Eternatus' primary STAB move, Dynamax Cannon being it's secondary. Mystical Fire has a 100% chance to lower the opponent's special attack, so it may be useful to cripple special attackers. Flamethrower can be used instead for the tiny burn chance and higher BP. Shadow Ball is used as the only other useful special move out there aside from Flash Cannon, and it also works as coverage against Psychic-type Pokémon.

You're trying to do too many things. Go for Flamethrower instead. This is a wallbreaker, correct? So maximum power should be its goal. You don't need a weaker fire move because you're not intending to do chip damage, you're intending to swing bonecrushing hits at them.

Eternatus @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Dynamax Cannon
- Sludge Wave
- Flamethrower
- Eternabeam

So, when I first saw Eternatus, I was hyped for a new anti-Fairy Dragon, but other than that, I didn't see anything that special... until I saw Eternabeam. 160 base power STAB, coming off of a base 145 base Special Attack was the thing that really caught my eye. This set is meant is meant to by a late game wallbreaker, so have fun with it!

Eternabeam is rechargw. Change it up for dynamax cannon and you're good to go.

Eternatus @ Black Sludge
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
- Toxic
- Dynamax Cannon
- Eternabeam
- Cosmic Power

Mainly focusing on Special Attack, Toxic for status inflicting (except for Pokemon who are Poison or Steel types, or have Synchronize ability). Cosmic Power for reinforcement for Defense, and I just have a habit of putting the signature move of a Pokemon if they have one.

by
edited by
you have two stab moves of the same type, without them serving different purposes. Eternabeam sucks, as it has recharge. Cosmic power doesn't make sense because you can be chipped down due to a lack of recover. Also, that isn't how synchronize works.

Eternatus @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Def / 224 SpA / 16 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Recover
- Cosmic Power
- Mystical Fire
- Dynamax Cannon

Basically, its a VERY VERY BULKY sweeper. It does not need to out-speed anything, it just needs a few Cosmic Powers and then spam Recover. The Pressure Ability burns an opponent's PP, which is a nice addition. Finally, Dynamax Cannon is its STAB and main attacking move, and Mystical Fire for dealing with tricky Steel types. Mystical Fire is also chosen over Flamethrower due to its SpA lowering. This set is so bulky that it can also work in Doubles, allowing your other Pokemon to set-up or do whatever you want. Only thing you might want to watch out for would be other damage set up Pokemon with Calm Mind/Quiver Dance, and Marshadow's Spectral Thief, stealing your defensive boosts.

Role: Staller and heavy Attacker

Eternatus @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Cosmic Power
- Eternabeam
- Recover
- Toxic

Cosmic Power for increasing it's defense, Toxic to badly poison the oppoment, Eternabeam for STAB and lots of damage dealt (almost a guaranteed 1 hit KO on anything except fairy types) and Recover because we would be wasting a lot of time using Cosmic Power, Toxic, recharging period of Eternabeam, so we definitely need to heal up.

Okay, this answer is definitely not the best but I've hoped this answer was better.

Stall set
Note: Be careful of Taunt users in natdexag because this set is almost a total taunt bait.

Eternatus @ Black Sludge
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic Spikes
- Toxic
- Flamethrower
- Recover

Toxic Spikes poisons opponents on switch-in, not wasting time using Toxic. For users who are flying types, Toxic is reliable to poison them. Flamethrower covers Steel types that cannot be poisoned, and have a slight chance of burn. Also halving the attack stat of threats like Zacian, Recover quickly heals up Eternatus because this is a stall set.

Deoxys-Speed: Counters Taunt with Taunt

I've hoped I've helped!

Physical Defensive Eternatus
Gen 8/NatDex AG
Eternatus
Eternatus @ Black Sludge
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic Spikes / Toxic / Cosmic Power
- Recover
- Dynamax Cannon
- Flamethrower
Is it gimmicky? Yes. Is it unpredictable? Yes. Does it work? Hell yes. Zacian, the AG dog, obliterates offensive and Specially Defensive Eternatus and likes to come in and kill it. Eternatus can take 2 behemoth blades, even more with Cosmic Power, heal up with Recover and Black Sludge, and burn the metal dog with Flamethrower. If you spam recover, you can easily PP stall the dog’s Behemoth Blade, which gets rid of it’s most valuable weapon. If it can tank hits from Zacian, that means it can tank hits from tons of physical Pokémon, too.

by
I don't see any reason to not use Specially Defensive Eternatus. Despite Max Def, you're always 2OHKOed by Behemoth Blade. This means that Eternatus can't ever switch-in to Kyogre or Zacian-C.
+1 252+ Atk Zacian-Crowned Behemoth Blade vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eternatus: 246-289 (50.8 - 59.7%) -- 83.2% chance to 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery
Don't know any reason why this shouldn't be Sp.Def. You're 2OHKOed by Water Spout, and I see your AGCL team is really weak to it.
252 SpA Kyogre Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Eternatus: 228-270 (47.1 - 55.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery
And don't tell me that "I don't see Stealth Rocks". You're in mid ladder- go a little higher to 1600s plus and then you will realise.
I know a reason:
Because I don’t like special defensive Eternatus!
And it’s easy to OHKO the stealth rocks setters
And half of my team resists Water Spout lol
.-.
Where in the world was Necrosma Dusk Mane frail? And if you don't like Sp.Def Eternatus, you're (Kyogre) going to sweep your team.
How does a Kyogre get past an Assault Vested Pokémon with 140 base SpD and a resistance to Water Spout and Ice Beam?
And a super effective Max Darkness lol
Well if you don't understand then OK. You eventually will realise that Sword Dog will sweep you.
But it never does, my Eternatus beats it every time

Eternatus @ Power Herb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 124 HP / 252 SpA / 132 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Meteor Beam
- Agility
- Flamethrower
- Dynamax Cannon

A bit similar to fwoofyy's set, but doesn't rely on Screens and on Weakness Policy boost. 132 Spe outspeds Max Speed Timid Yveltal and Xerneas, while after an Agility outspeds the whole meta, including Timid Scarf Calyrex-Shadow. Meteor Beam boosts its SpA and pins down Ho-Oh along with Yveltal. Dynamax Cannon is strong STAB. Flamethrower for Zacian-Crowned and Dusk Mane Necrozma, generally OHKOing the former after some chip damage at +1 SpA. Beware of Ditto. The rest of the stats are put into HP to maximize bulk while Max SpA along with Modest Nature does really heavy damage.

Eternatus @ Power Herb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 164 HP / 252 SpD / 92 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dragon Pulse
- Meteor Beam
- Cosmic Power
- Recover
Well ok, this set is from smogon, but I'm going to put it here with a different explanation. I think you can put a smogon moveset as long as you have a different explanation, so sorry if I'm wrong. Dragon Pulse is better than Dynamax Cannon because this set is a stall breaker set. Meteor Beam+Power Herb allows it to boost it's special attack. It can also be used even when you don't have Power Herb when you are at an insanely high defense. Cosmic Power is the crux of this set. It allows it to become a big tank, taking multiple hits from strong attackers and killing them with Dragon Pulse or Meteor Beam. Dragon+Rock isn't the best offensive combo, so it will take some time to break past things that resist the combo, so Dragon Pulse is better than Dynamax Cannon due to having more PP. Recover recovers lost HP. All credit goes to smogon.

Cosmic Power provides Eternatus with some serious bulk, allowing it to take minimal damage (Recover adds to this). Fairy/Steel types can be KO'd with Flamethrower and Dragon Pulse is a powerful STAB.
