Hello,

I’m aware that there’s kind of similar questions floating about but I can’t find the answer I’m looking for.

Basically I’m needing help with my in-game team, and I’m wondering which Fire type is most efficient for in-game use.

Could anyone point me in the right direction? Please and thank you :)

Volcarona is really good from my experience, although it might have to rely on EXP. Share for a bit. You can get good STAB with the Flamethrower TM found on Victory Road and Signal Beam, which I think it learns from a Driftveil City tutor.

Although, your team looks like it'd consist mostly of Special Attackers, so Arcanine might be better in that regard.

Out of the three, Darmanitan is your best option, with Arcanine in second. Darmanitan is an absolutely brutal physical attacker, with access to Sheer Force and moves like Flare Blitz. It can completely pummel most opponents, and its frailty doesn't much matter in-game. Arcanine is also extremely good, as it's a physical Fire type that you already have. I don't like it as much as Darmanitan, as Darmanitan has always worked better for me, but it may just be a matter of preference.

I don't think you should use Volcarona because it doesn't get very many good moves until quite late in the game, meaning it can be deadweight for quite a while after you get it. You also already have an abundance of special attackers on your team. Better Bug types for in-game purposes are Galvantula and Scolipede.

Darmanitan @ anything
Ability: Sheer Force
- Fire Punch / Flare Blitz
- Headbutt / Belly Drum
- U-turn
- Zen Headbutt / any other physical move

Hope I helped!

I think belly drum is better than headbutt.
I edited it in as a choice, but I do still think Headbutt is better. Darmanitan doesn't really need the Belly Drum boost, and Headbutt can do pretty solid damage after the Sheer Force boost.
