Can Giratina be shiny if it wasn't shiny in the Distortion World in Platinum?

so..the past 12 days (15 hours per day) i've been hunting a shiny giratina inside of turnback cave in platinum..im well over 20k soft resets but it has not yet shined..my question is cause I'm about to lose my mind...can it be shiny if in the distortion world wasnt shiny when I killed it? or it stays the same?

Yes it is possible. You can hunt it in either the Distortion world or TurnBack Cave.
