Meta-PokéBase Q&A

Decided to make a new thread myself for this so I can get the responses via email. Here you can report any minor errors with the main site instead of starting a lot of new questions. Things you can report here include:

  • Spelling/grammar errors.
  • Incorrect data (e.g. Pokemon with the wrong abilities listed, moves with the wrong power/type and so on).
  • Missing pictures (sprites, icons and artwork).

As I fix the errors, the answers will be hidden. Try and keep comments to a minimum to avoid clogging up the page, stick to important things like additions/corrections to the corrections.

Remember, small corrections only! If you're reporting something more substantial than a missing picture or incorrect data, please make a new thread!

Please, post corrections as ANSWERS, not comments. Thanks :)

tm 47 steel wing is wrong because thats the fire red location not the gold location which is in kanto rock tunnel.
Route 28 isn't even in Firered. You *can* get TM47 in Rock Tunnel, but you can also get it on Route 47, according to Bulbapedia.

Delta Stream's description says

Electric-, Ice-, and Rock-type moves deal normal damage to any Flying-type Pokémon in battle instead of being super-effective.

This is true for most Pokemon, however, Mega Rayquaza, who is the only one who gets the ability, is quad weak to ice, so ice is super effective, not normal damage. I think this should be change to:

Electric-, Ice-, and Rock-type deal a reduced stage of effectiveness to any Flying-type Pokémon in battle. For example, a Flying-type weak to Rock would take neutral damage from it, but a Flying-type that is 4x weak to Rock would only be super effective.

by
Personally, I think the current description is fine. Ice type moves do normal damage to the flying type, but ice is super effective because of the dragon type's weakness to ice, hence making it a 2x weakness instead of a 4x for rayquaza.
"Strong winds makes electric, ice, and rock neutrally effective against the flying type." is correct and less wordy, but it's probably still confusing.
I’m not really sure, it just seems a bit misleading the way it is. It kinda reads like all flying types are neutral to all of them, which isn’t true for rayquaza
The flying type is. Dragon isn't.
I agree with sumwun's description. The current description assumes that you know it's talking about the pure flying type, which is where I see how it can be confusing.

On Zorua’s page, it is listed as only obtainable via “trade/migrate from another game” in Black 2/White 2, but this is false. N’s Zorua is available in-game as a gift, not a trade or migration.

The reason I believe this to be an error is because the event Zorua/Zoroark are listed as possible encounters for Black/White, which required an irl (now outdated) gift event to obtain in the first place. However, it does retain “N” as his OT, so I could see why this would possibly make Zorua’s obtainable status a bit of a gray area.

Still, I feel like “trade/migrate from another game” is not an accurate description. Some mention of the in-game gift should be stated. Something like “received as a gift from Rood, N’s Zorua” on Zorua’s page and “evolve N’s Zorua” for Zoroark’s would be adequate. Trade/Migrate is assumed for all cases not already available in-game.

Minor problem with the moveset searcher. I felt like figuring out if there was some Pokèmon that learned both sucker punch and pursuit, so I went to the moveset searcher. There was none. I set it to just pursuit, and it still said there are none. I went to pursuit’s page and there was a bunch. Maybe this happens a lot and I’m just dumb, or maybe it doesn’t work if there’s only one move. Just reporting something weird

by
It's likely because the pursuit hasn't been in the game since Gen 7 and the moveset searcher is likely updated for Gen 9.
yeah I asked somebody I know and they said they thought pursuit wasn't even in gen 9. Should I hide this?

Edit: yeah I was right I checked look at the game descriptions for SW/SH and S/V

Sableye's sprite does not work. You have to click onto it.

What were you trying to do that didn't work? Can you link the page where this happens?

The 5th and 6th trial captain in the Sun and Moon “Trial Captains, Kahunas & Elite Four” section are missing despite being listed. The 6th captain is listed for Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon but the 6th still isn’t.

https://pokemondb.net/item/tm036 has the incorrect move description for SW/SH

by
How? It teaches whirlpool, and the site's whirlpool's description matches the one on Bulbapedia.

On the page for Goodra, in the "Where to obtain" section, the page incorrectly states that goodra can be evolved from Hisuian Sliggoo in Pokemon Shield. This is incorrect, as Hisuan forms are incompatable with SWSH

According to moveset searcher abra cannot learn teleport
I put teleport and only teleport on the sercher and abra didnt come up
put teleport here and see

by
I believe the moveset searcher is based on the current generation, which is currently SV for the searcher, so Abra doesn't show up under teleport because it isn't in SV. I think there's another section of the site/another feature that's based on the current generation but I forgot what it was.
Is cosmog in sv? If so then never mind this suggestion is kinda useless. If not then why is it there?
Cosmog can be transferred in, yes.

Under "Answers to [Pokemon] questions" on Pokedex pages for Pokemon introduced in the Gen 9 DLC (for example, Pecharunt), the link to the moveset thread isn't in bold, unlike how it appears on other Pokedex pages.
