Reuniclus (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 176 HP / 80 Def / 252 SpA
Quiet Nature
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Trick Room

Starting off with some nice STAB with Psychic, Shadow Ball is for ghost type weakness as well as other psychics, Focus Blast hits hard on them dark types as well as annoying steel types. and Trick Room takes advantage of low speed.

National Dex

Reuniclus @ Electrium Z / Life Orb / Psychium Z / Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 212 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature

  • Psyshock / Stored Power
  • Thunder / Focus Blast
  • Calm Mind
  • Recover

Psyshock is STAB that does a lot to Special walls and SpDef boosters like Calm Min Clefable after a few boosts. You can use Psychium Z with Psyshock to get rid of PhysDef Tangrowth, remove Toxapex before it hazes away Calm Mind boosts, smack Kartana if you use Thunder over Focus Blast, and hit Slowbro for some good damage if you forego Thunder for Focus Blast. Reuniclus's tendency to set up more than once on the meta's passive mons means Stored Power can definitely be used. It still deals with Blissey, after all. Thunder is coverage for the Slow twins, and can land paralysis on Psychic move switch-ins like Mega Latias, Heatran, Corviknight, and Tyranitar. If you want, you can power it up into Electrium Z to do more damage to the Steels and Tyranitar as well as not miss. Focus Blast is an option for destroying Tyranitar and non-Corviknight Steels as well as denting PhysDef Tangrowth if you're running Psyshock, at the cost of being checked by the Slow twins. Calm Mind is set up, Recover is for healing and to be able to use Calm Mind more throughout a match.

Duosion

Duosion @ Eviolite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 152 Def / 104 SpD
Bold Nature
- Pain Split
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Thunder Wave

Everyone underestimates this little guy, but he can work wonders if used correctly. Start off with a thunder wave to cut the opponents speed, then use light screen/reflect (depending on the opponent). After setting up both light screen and reflect, use plain split, and switch out into a set up sweeper (maybe azumarill or slurpuff who now has boosted defences due to light screen).

Gen 9 NU Physically Defensive

Reuniclus @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Magic Guard
Tera Type: Water / Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
- Psychic Noise
- Knock Off
- Thunder Wave
- Recover

Reuniclus is being suspect tested in Gen 9 NU at the time of the post, so here is a physically defensive set it uses there. This set helps enable a team archetype style known as paralysis spam, (or para spam for short), a team that has a few Pokemon that spreads paralysis to slow down opposing Pokemon. Leading to unfun interactions. Psychic Noise is used for the Psychic STAB due to its ability to prevent opposing Pokemon from recovering HP for a couple of turns, which is useful to make sure progress wearing them down actually sticks and prevents Vaporeon from being able to Wishpass to teammates that aren't Dark-types. Knock Off is used on this set to remove crucial items from opposing Pokemon such as Eviolite from Duraludon and Heavy-Duty Boots from Pokemon such as Chandelure and Incineroar. Thunder Wave allows Reuniclus to spread paralysis to slow down opposing Pokemon, helping to make progress against them. Recover is used to give Reuniclus reliable HP recovery, improving its longevity in matches. The 16 Speed EVs allow Reuniclus to speedcreep Reuniclus not running any Speed EVs to be able to use Psychic Noise to stop slower Reuniclus from recovering HP with Recover. Tera Water gives Reuniclus a nice defensive typing, while Tera Fairy allows Reuniclus to resist Dark moves while still being able to resist Fighting moves.

This set uses max HP and Defense EVs with Bold Nature to serve as a check to physical wallbreakers such as Flamigo. This set uses Magic Guard + Rocky Helmet instead of going the RU route of Heavy-Duty Boots + Regenerator. There are a couple of reasons for this. 1. Hazard removal isn't the best in Gen 9 NU, so Magic Guard is useful to essentially make Reuniclus a Knock Off absorber while not caring about entry hazards, something Regenerator + Heavy Duty Boots can't do. 2. Rocky Helmet is useful to check punish physical wallbreakers making contact with Reuniclus, which is useful to make Flamigo clicking Brave Bird not as free.

Trick Room Mixed Sweeper

Reuniclus @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 126 HP / 252 Atk / 130 SpA
Brave Nature
- Trick Room
- Drain Punch
- Shadow Ball / Recover / Hidden Power [Fire]
- Psychic / Zen Headbutt

Trick Room is the body and blood of the Pokémon. Drain Punch is coverage against Steel and Dark types (plus healing) and Blissey slaying. Shadow Ball is coverage against Ghost and Psychic types, recover is stalling (not most recommended) and Hidden Power [Fire] is coverage against bug types. Psychic and Zen Headbutt are STAB, but if you think Reuniclus needs more coverage you can swap them for one of the moves in the third row.

Duosion (M) @ Eviolite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 142 Def / 116 SpD
Bold Nature
- Shock Wave
- Confuse Ray
- Infestation
- Recover

Details/strategy:
This guy is incredibly annoying! Start off with Shock Wave and paralyze your opponent, then you'll be able to out-speed most enemies. Continue by confusing your enemy with Confuse Ray, then trap them with Infestation and keep using Recover/Infestation and use Confuse Ray again if necessary. If your opponent switches out before you can trap his pokémon, just keep trying to set up. If you notice that you won't be able to survive by spamming Recover, switch out and thanks to Regenerator you'll be able to use him again later.

Usually your opponent won't expect the Infestation trap, so this set works pretty well. Naturally it won't work that well on electric & ground types and Magic Bounce pokémon because you won't be able to paralyze them.

JELLO SET

Reuniclus @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA
Calm Nature
- Recover
- Calm Mind

- Trick Room

  • Recover - Need I say why?
  • Calm Mind - Set up for the amazing sweep
  • Psychic - STABBBB
  • Trick Room - this thing is slow so this will probably help

Your only attack is a ghost-type move, so any normal type could wall this and force a switch

While I myself have not tested all of these movesets, I have a friend who gave it a shot and sent me the link to view them. Anyway, here it is:

Reuniclus Moveset

You are going to want this on your Reuniclus no matter what its role on your team is:

Ability: Magic Guard

Moves:
Psychic: It's a no-brainer, I suggest upping its PP, though.

Focus Blast/Shadow Ball: Focus Blast gives Dark and Steel coverage, but means you have no moves effective against Psychic. Shadow Ball gives Steel and Psychic coverage, but no Dark coverage, meaning you'll have to switch out on a Dark type enemy.

Now this is where the set really changes based on how you're planning on using Reuniclus.

Trick Room Set:

Reuniclus @ Lagging Tail / Iron Ball / Full Incense
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 216 Def / 252 SpA / 44 SpD
Quiet Nature
- Psychic
- Focus Blast / Shadow Ball
- Trick Room
- Calm Mind / Shadow Ball / Focus Blast / Recover

Trick Room: It's literally the point of your moveset and why you even have Reuniclus on your team.

Calm Mind/Shadow Ball/Focus Blast/Recover: Boost your sweeping ability, get coverage of more types, or increase your lifespan, your choice.

Support Set

Reuniclus @ Light Clay / Mental Herb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Bold Nature
- Psychic
- Focus Blast / Shadow Ball
- Light Screen / Reflect
- Recover / Toxic / Thunder Wave

Light Screen/Reflect: Which defense stat is worse on your team overall? Choose the move that covers that.

Recover/Toxic/Thunderwave: Are you trying to stay alive or annoy the enemy? Thunderwave works best in Doubles/Triples, but can be used in Singles.

Sweeper Set

Reuniclus @ Life Orb/Wide Glasses
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 HP / 128 Def / 252 SpA / 124 SpD
Modest Nature
- Psychic
- Focus Blast / Shadow Ball
- Calm Mind
- Pain Split

Calm Mind: Because what's scarier than a maxed out base 125 Special Attack stat? Adding 1/2 of that to the stat for every Calm Mind. Also gives the added bonus of increased resistance to special moves, like Shadow Ball and Dark Pulse which would otherwise threaten Reuniclus.

Pain Split: While it isn't as reliable recovery as Recover, it does do damage to the enemy and can help whittle down tanks and enemies that resist your attacks.

And, last but not least, YOLO Set

Reuniclus @ Choice Specs / Choice Scarf
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest / Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Focus Blast / Shadow Ball
- Thunder
- Energy Ball / Flash Cannon / Focus Blast / Shadow Ball / Hyper Beam

Thunder: High Damage, decent coverage, why not?

Energy Ball/Flash Cannon/Focus Blast/Shadow Ball/Hyper Beam: They cover a decent amount of types, and all will definitely hurt the enemy when they hit. Hyper Beam almost guarentees that you'll have to switchout after using it, but with an overall SpA stat of almost 300 with the correct nature and the Specs, a Hyper Beam will annihilate anything that doesn't resist it. It is the Hail-Mary, and as such, do not use it until all other options have been explored.

I hope a least one of these sets are continuously viable, and I hope they were easy to understand. Thanks for reading.

My reuniclus is a bulky build:

Reuniclus @ Flame Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SpA
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Recover
- Psyshock
- Shadow Ball

psyshock: (for dealing with mons with really high sp. def but low def)

I built all of my mons like this cause I find it to fit my playstyle and I highly recommend it as many people struggled to beat my reuniclus even with z-moves that r super effective managed to survive even those a couple times.

I'll write one up for an Overcoat Reuniclus.

Role: Special Sweeper or Special Stalker

Reuniclus @ Ring Target
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 6 SpD or Def
Quiet Nature
- Trick / Trick Room
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball

Moves:

Trick or Trick Room: Trick swaps item with the opponent. This can be helpful against Dark/Ghost types. Trick room makes the slowest Pokemon go first, the 2nd slowest 2nd, and so on. Reuniclus is really slow, so this move will really help.
Psychic: STAB, and may lower opponents Sp. Defense.
Focus Blast: Covers Dark types, but it had low accuracy.
Shadow Ball: Covers Ghost.

Your set seems to be all over the place. You want to tank, utilize trick room and also use trick. I'd recommend one of them rather then all of them
Okay. Thanks for the idea.

Role: Tank

Reuniclus @ Ring Target / Twisted Spoon
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Bold Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Attract
- Confuse Ray
- Trick / Psychic
__

Thunder Wave paralyzes the opponent and halves their speed. Attract makes the opponent unable to attack sometimes if they are the opposite gender of the opponent. Confuse Ray causes the opponent to sometimes do damage to themselves. That way your opponent can't do much of anything!! And when you set up the three, he can tank a large amount of damage with it's high HP and decent defenses. Trick is in case of ground types, and Psychic is incase of Taunt.

Reuniclus @ Choice Specs
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Energy Ball

This set is meant to be used in Trick Room. Before you tell me that Reuniclus can set Trick Room itself, let me explain. While Reuniclus can set Trick Room itself and can run Magic Gaurd Life Orb, Life Orb only gives a 1.3x boost. (383•1.3= 498 rounded to the nearest whole number) Choice Specs give a 1.5 boost. (383•1.5=575 rounded to the nearest whole number) Life Orb makes Reuniclus' SpA 498 while Choice Specs makes Reuniclus' Choice Specs 575. While the difference between the SpA number is 77, it makes a difference. Psyshock is STAB and can hit special walls. Focus Blast is for Dark Types. Shadow Ball is for Ghost Types. Energy Ball is for additional coverage.

Trick Room Set

Reuniclus @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Def / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Trick Room
- Substitute
- Stored Power
- Calm Mind

Description: I personally love trick room users, so here is a nice moveset for an awesome lil pokémon! This moveset let's you set up with trick room/substitute. Calm mind is there to raise up your stats, and having stored power can help get some damage out on the opposing pokémon and it's more powerful if your stats are raised. And since this pokémon is pretty bulky it's really nice to use on your team for possible stalls.

Gen 9 NU Assault Vest

Reuniclus @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Dark / Fairy / Steel
EVs: 248 HP / 16 SpA / 224 SpD / 20 Spe
Modest Nature
- Future Sight
- Psychic Noise
- Focus Blast
- Knock Off

An Assault Vest set Reuniclus can use in Gen 9 NU. Assault Vest Reuniclus has established itself to be the best set Reuniclus can use in Gen 9 NU, being able to check the special wallbreakers in the tier. Future Sight is used for a powerful Psychic STAB that can put pressure on the opposing team, and with good teammates and good positioning, you can force the opponent to take some awkward lines when trying to decide who should take the Future Sight. Psychic Noise is used for the Psychic STAB since it allows Reuniclus to temporarily deny opposing Pokemon from recovering HP. Focus Blast provides coverage against Dark- and Steel-types such as Krookodile, Copperajah, Magnezone, Incineroar, and Brute Bonnet. Knock Off isn't used for damage, but for utility by removing items from opposing Pokemon switching in. Tera Dark allows Reuniclus to resist Dark and Ghost moves. Tera Fairy can be used to resist Dark moves and still be able to resist Fighting moves. Tera Steel can be used to be immune to poison and have a nice defensive typing. Regenerator is used for the Abililty since it gives Reuniclus free HP recovery every time it switches out, allowing it to stay around longer to check special wallbreakers.

Ok, this EV spread may look weird/complicated, so here is an explanation for the EV spread. 248 HP EVs are used for bulk and is used over 252 HP to maximize the Regenerator HP Reuniclus gets. 20 Speed EVs lets Reuniclus speed creep slower Pokemon such Slowbro that aren't using any Speed EVs. 16 EVs are used with a Modest Nature give Reuniclus some more firepower. 16 Special Attack EVs with Modest is specifically used to get a jump point for its Special Attack stat. The rest of the EVs are used in Special Defense to help Reuniclus tank special moves.

Gen 9 NU Calm Mind

Reuniclus @ Leftovers / Colbur Berry / Rocky Helmet
Ability: Magic Guard
Tera Type: Electric / Fighting / Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Psychic Noise
- Thunder / Focus Blast / Shadow Ball
- Recover

A Calm Mind set Reuniclus can use in Gen 9 NU. With Calm Mind boosting Reuniclus's Special Attack and Special Defense stats in addition to Magic Guard stopping things such as poison and burns from chipping it down, Reuniclus makes for a potent wincon. Psychic Noise is used for the Psychic STAB due to its effect of prevent healing, being useful to force damage to actually stick as well as preventing Vaporeon from Wishpassing to teammates that aren't Dark-types. Thunder is used to hit Vaporeon and Galarian Articuno super effectively as well as dealing neutral damage to Pokemon such as Klefki and Meloetta. Thunder also has the chance to spread paralysis against opposing Pokemon. Focus Blast can be used to hit Dark-types such as Incineroar, Brute Bonnet, Wo-Chien, and Scrafty super effectively. Shadow Ball can be used to hit Psychic-types such as Galarian Articuno, Munkidori, and opposing Reuniclus super effectively. 16 Speed EVs allow Reuniclus to speedcreep opposing Reuniclus not using any Speed EVs.

Tera Electric is used alongside Thunder to make Thunder a STAB move. Tera Electric is also useful to give Reuniclus a paralysis immunity. Tera Fighting is used to allow Reuniclus to resist Dark moves and gives a boost to Focus Blast. Tera Fairy can be used to resist Dark moves while not being weak to Psychic moves as well as giving Reuniclus a Dragon immunity.

Calm Mind Reuniclus has quite a few items it can use on this set. Leftovers is used to give Reuniclus some HP recovery each turn. Colbur Berry can be used to take less damage from Dark moves without having to use your Tera. Rocky Helmet allows Reuniclus to punish physical attackers making contact with Reuniclus by forcing chip damage. There are other items in addition to the three items listed that can be used. Life Orb is an option to boost the power of Reuniclus's attacks and ignores the Life Orb recoil thanks to Magic Guard. You can also consider status orbs such as Flame Orb or Toxic Orb to prevent Reuniclus from being paralyzed without having to use Tera Electric to do so, with Magic Guard being useful to prevent Reuniclus from being worn down by the burn or poison. (Just be careful of Hex Dudunsparce though.)
