Slowbro

Slowbro-Galar @ Choice Specs
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Trick
- Shell Side Arm
- Psychic
- Surf

This is fun to use. Choice Specs boost your Special Attack. Regenerator allows you to regain health when you switch out, which pairs perfectly with the Choice Specs. The EVs allow it to have bulk and make it hit pretty hard. Modest raises Special Attack and lowers Attack, which you don’t need. Trick is where this set gets interesting. You can either keep your Specs for the added power, but if you see Leftovers/Black Sludge, you can Trick your Choice Specs to them, and since those are more Defensive items, I don’t think your opponent would be happy about Choice Specs on their wall. Shell Side Arm is STAB that allows you to always hit for maximum damage since it changes from Special to Physical depending on what would do more damage (though I doubt it’s going to be physical very often). Psychic is STAB, and I used it over Psyshock since you can just use Shell Side Arm against Special Walls. Surf covers Ground types.

I love your explanation!
Thank you! :)
(Ik this is a very old post)
Why surf instead of scald? I get the point of having shell side arm to cripple special tanks like blissy and goodra. Replacing surf with scald would then mean that you can also cripple physical attackers like lucario or HA cinderace. That's just what I think about it.

Belly drummer
Slowbro-Galar @ Sitrus berry
Ability: Quick Draw
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant nature
- Belly Drum
- Zen Headbutt
- Shell Side Arm
- Drain punch / Ice Punch / Liquidation / Razor Shell / Earthquake / Slack Off

Belly Drum duh... Zen Headbutt and Shell Side Arm are STABs, the last move is coverage or healing.

Galarian Slowbro @ Choice Specs
Ability: Quick Draw
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 HP / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Shell Side Arm: Strong STAB
- Psychic: Strong STAB
- Surf: Nice coverage, specifically for Ground
- Shadow Ball: Nice coverage, specifically for Ghost

His ability allows him to occasionally move first, which helps him cope with low speed. Nice STAB moves and nice attacking stats and defenses.

Slowbro-Galar @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Shell Side Arm
- Psychic
- Flamethrower

Trick Room to fix low speed, because relying on Quick Draw is unreliable. Shell Side Arm for poison STAB. Psychic for STAB, and Flamethrower for steel types. Regenerator can help recover some Life Orb damage.

by
Oh ok didn’t see that anywhere else......

Slowbro-Galar @ Quick Claw
Ability: Quick Draw
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shell Side Arm
- Shadow Ball
- Psychic
- Scald
Quick Claw + Quick Draw almost = always move first, Shadow ball has good power and cover ghost type weakness, Shell side arm is strong also, has 20% poison opponent chance with 100% perfect acc.
Scald is for cover ground type weakness and also has a chance to burn opponent, and Psychic is its Psychic type stab move.
Other Good Options:
-Focus Blast: High Power and covers dark type weakness
-Flamethower: Best fire type move ever
-Calm Mind / Nasty Plot / Curse: Boost stat

by
I don't think quick claw is worth it. It only adds 6%. That means quick draw 30%become 36%.

there are so many better held items than quick claw

Actually a 44% of either activating with both.

Slowbro-Galar @ Choice Band
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Zen Headbutt
- Avalanche
- Shell Side Arm
- Drain Punch
Explanation: Choice Band gives power to the move you use. Zen Headbutt is STAB. Avalanche is double the power since Galarian Slowbro has low speed, and can take care of Ground Types. Shell Side Arm is another STAB move. Drain Punch is for Steel Types.

by
Wow this is really creative but is there a another move to replace avalanche

not for the faint of heart

Slowbro-Galar @ Black Sludge
Ability: Quick Draw
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Iron Defense
- Calm Mind
- Slack Off
- Stored Power

Iron Defense + Calm Mind to set up. Slack Off to recover HP. Stored Power to unleash all those stat boosts on to non dark types. Quick Draw can help get off boosts easier and faster.

Thought I might post something different so...

Slowbro-Galar @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 204 Def / 52 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Substitute
- Shell Side Arm
- Flamethrower

I feel like it could be a great Calm Mind user due to its great Special Attack and lackluster Special Defense. Black Sludge is for healing Substitute recoil. Regenerator is if you need to switch out. I wouldn’t use Quick Draw because setting up Substitute after your opponent attacks is usually better so you can ensure that you’ll get a free turn behind it. 252 HP is for both physical and special bulk, 204 Defense gives it more physical bulk, which is better with Calm Mind than Special Defense investment. 52 Special Attack is just for a bit more power. Bold lowers Attack and raises Defense, which is good since you don’t want Shell Side Arm to be physical and you want to take minimal damage from Confusion/Foul Play. Calm Mind is for boosting your Special Attack and Special Defense. Substitute is for a free turn of using Calm Mind. Shell Side Arm is STAB. Flamethrower hits Steel types.

Slowbro-Galar @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Whirlpool
- Yawn
- Shell Side Arm
- Flamethrower

Whirlpool to trap the opponent, Yawn to make them fall asleep, and two attacking moves to weaken the opponent as much as possible. Regenerator + Black Sludge can possibly make this usable multiple times.

by
I totally forgot Black Sludge existed, LOL
I mean I don't think Leftovers/Black Sludge make a recovery difference haha, it's only if you want to trick a Black Sludge to the opposing mon

Slowbro-Galar @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Future Sight
- Shell Side Arm
- Fire Blast
- Grass Knot / Ice Beam

Future Sight is a strong move that adds a layer of pressure to the opponent to make sure they get in the right Pokemon to take the Future Sight, and if they forget about it, it can potentially catch a surprise KO. Shell Side Arm is standard Galarian Slowbro stuff. Fire Blast is strong steel coverage. Grass Knot can be used to chip the bulky waters, but Ice Beam can be used for Ground types.

Slowbro-Galar @Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Amnesia: To raise SpD
- Slack Off: For healing
- Psychic: STAB
- Drain Punch: Heals, covers Dark and Steel that are immune and resistant to Psychic.

G-Slowbro gets a few options. I’ve been using this set:

Slowbro-Galar @ Quick Claw
Ability: Quick Draw
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA
Modest Nature
- Expanding Force
- Shell Side Arm
- Nasty Plot
- Slack Off

But that’s because I’m using Porygon to set Trick Room, so if you want to use as a Trick Room setter you could remove Slack Off and go min Spe. I’m still not told on the Quick Draw + Quick Claw combo, so it may be better to do Life Orb / Berry or Black Sludge for the item.

You can also add a third move for coverage. Shadow ball, Flamethrower / Fire Blast, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam / Blizzard, and Focus Blast all seem viable depending on the rest of your team.

Nature?
It says modest.
Choice Specs boost your Special Attack

Slowbro-Galar @ Quick Claw
Ability: Quick Draw
EVs: 136 HP / 252 Atk / 60 Def / 60 SpD
Brave Nature
- Shell Side Arm STAB
- Drain Punch Coverage
- Earthquake Coverage
- Zen Headbutt STAB

Role: Bulky Psychical Sweeper

There is a 50% chance that both either quick claw or quick draw will activate. You should be bulky enough to tank 1-3 hits and finally get to activate your quick claw/draw.

I'm not sure which Slowbro thread to post this, so I posting it here:

National Dex
-->
Slowbro-Galar @ Slowbronite
Ability: Regenerator --> Shell Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA or 252 HP / 116 Def / 140 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Sludge Bomb / Psyshock
- Calm Mind / Ice Beam / Flamethrower
- Slack Off

A Mega Slowbro set from a Galarian Slowbro. This is allowed in the format. The reason Galarian Slowbro is the one that mega evolves into Mega Slowbro is so you can be a Rillaboom check before mega evolving and can also bait in ground types. Scald is for the 30% chance to burn opposing Pokemon. Sludge Bomb is for the 30% chance to poison. Psyshock is an option so you can deal with special walls. Calm Mind allows you to boost your special attack and special defense. Slack Off is for healing and allows you to stay in longer. Calm Mind can be replaced with a coverage move like Ice Beam or Flamethrower. Ice Beam allows you to deal super effective damage to dragon types. Flamethrower can be used against steel types like Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor.

I never knew that Slowbro-Galar can become Mega Slowbro. Also nice set! 1+

Gen 9 NU Defensive Nasty Plot

Slowbro-Galar @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Water / Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Sludge Bomb / Psychic / Psyshock
- Flamethrower / Surf / Ice Beam
- Slack Off

A Physically Defensive Nasty Plot set for NU. Galarian Slowbro can't use Quick Draw Quick Claw + Nasty Plot since NU banned Quick Claw because of how ridiculous that Galarian Slowbro set was. However, Quick Claw being banned doesn't stop Nasty Plot Galarian Slowbro from being scary. This physically defensive Nasty Plot set is arguably Galarian Slowbro's set that make people view as broken, as this Galarian Slowbro refuses to get KOed.

Nasty Plot boosts Galarian Slowbro's Special Attack, making its attacks more dangerous to switch into. The two common attacking moves used on this set are Sludge Bomb and Flamethrower. Sludge Bomb is used over Side Shell Arm for the Poison STAB due to its higher chance to poison opposing Pokemon. Flamethrower is used to hit Steel-types such as Copperajah, Klefki, and Registeel super effectively. Slack Off gives Galarian Slowbro reliable HP recovery, letting it stick around for a long time combined with Regenerator. Rock Helmet is used force chip on to Pokemon who use contact move, making it nice to punish U-turn spam.

Regenerator is used for the Ability so Galarian Slowbro can have another way to recovery health. The EV spread with Bold Nature lets it tank physical hits, allowing Galarian Slowbro to break through teams mid-game and clean up teams late-game. You can do an EV spread such as 248 HP / 212 Def / 48 Spe to outspeed Palossand and Mudsdale if you have a coverage move to beat them. Tera Water and Tera Fairy are used as they give Galarian Slowbro some nice defensive typings. Tera Water is useful to resist Steel moves. Tera Fairy lets Galarian Slowbro resist Dark moves that would otherwise be super effective on it and have an immunity to Dragon moves.

Oh yeah, don't expect just Sludge Bomb and Flamethrower as the two attacking moves for this set, as Slowbro can mix and match with Sludge Bomb, Psychic, and Psyshock for your STAB move, and Flamethrower, Surf, and Ice Beam for your coverage move. Because the two attacking slots are customizable, Galarian Slowbro can pick and choose what checks it wants to beat. Dragalge tries to switch into Sludge Bomb or Flamethrower? Surprise, it gets sent down into the Mariana Trench with Psyshock or Psychic. Chandelure, Gligar, Palossand, or Specially Defensive Mudsdale tries to get in your way? Tera Water and send them away with a Surf. Flygon tries to revenge kill you? Tera Water or Fairy and blast it with a sample of Antartica with Ice Beam.

Slowbro-Galar @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Curse
- Slack Off
- Zen Headbutt / Shell Side Arm

Intended to set Trick Room for your team. Curse is for the very few Pokemon that are slower than you, and it boosts your attacking move of choice. Slack Off, Black Sludge, Regenerator, the EV spread and a Relaxed Nature make Slowbro-Galar quite bulky, potentially allowing it to set up Trick Room multiple times. Choose Zen Headbutt or Shell Side Arm for STAB boosted by Curse, and so you aren't Taunt bait.

Why Poison Jab over Shell Side Arm? Since it has 4 EVs in Atk, Shell Side Arm is always physical.

Mopey (Slowbro-Galar) @ Leftovers
Ability: Quick Draw
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Calm Nature
- Shell Side Arm
- Stored Power
- Nasty Plot / Calm Mind
- Flamethrower / Grass Knot / Focus Blast / Ice Beam / Surf / Scald

I love Galarian Slowbro soooo much, best Galar DLC Pokemon by a long long shot. Thankfully (thankfully) it has a good movepool and can be a mixed attacker (or either Physical or Special), as well as a buffed Quick Claw ability, meaning Speed can be invested in other areas instead (bulk, attack).

here's my set. HP and SpA make a Bulky Special attacker. I decided not to invest in Speed as Quick Draw is good for priority. Start off by getting in as many Nasty Plots / Calm Minds as possible, max HP and really solid Defenses mean you can set up 1 or 2, sometimes 3 if you're lucky. Shell Side Arm is STAB, and Stored Power is not only boosted because it's power depends on stat boosts, but you're boosting SpA/SpD, so it can be better than Psychic as STAB. The last move is any Special filler. Use whatever works best for your team.

Damage Calculations! :D
Attack
+1 252 SpA Slowbro-Galar Shell Side Arm vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Tangrowth: 632-746 (156.4 - 184.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

(With 2 Calm Minds +2 SpA and +2 SpD or 1 Nasty Plot)
+2 252 SpA Slowbro-Galar Shell Side Arm vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Dracovish: 295-348 (91.9 - 108.4%) -- 50% chance to OHKO

+2 252 SpA Slowbro-Galar Flamethrower vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Aegislash-Shield: 244-288 (75.3 - 88.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

(With 3 Calm Minds, equivalent to 3 Nasty Plots but without SpD boosts) Imagine that, a Special Slowbro-Galar 2HKOing a Blissey, whaaaaaaat?
+3 252 SpA Slowbro-Galar Stored Power (140 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Blissey: 366-432 (51.2 - 60.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Defense
+2 0 SpA Suicune Scald vs. +2 252 HP / 4+ SpD Slowbro-Galar: 96-114 (24.3 - 28.9%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Dragapult Shadow Ball vs. +2 252 HP / 4+ SpD Slowbro-Galar: 134-158 (34 - 40.1%) -- 33.4% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery (This is a Super Effective hit, by the way)

252 Atk Garchomp Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Slowbro-Galar: 342-404 (86.8 - 102.5%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO

Hope I helped, have fun using this set! :))

What rules/format is this set for? Also giving a calc of using against Tangrowth is just very dumb, it's a physical wall and it will just switch out. Dracovish is banned to Ubers (supposing this is PS! format). Also, you did enter +2 Slowbro-G, it's just not that easy to Calm Mind in front of it. Dragapult is mostly Specs too.
I am not very good at competitive, i'll try answer these

- this was intended for battle tower in SwSh, mainly because i am trying to get to Master Ball rank in singles,
- dracovish is not banned seeing as this is battle tower, though i don't think i have encountered any in battle tower yet,
- that was, i believe, a choice scarf (not specs) dragapult
- nasty plot works for one turn instead of two calm minds, which was the other option

hope this helps (:
