As in can be found in the fewest amount of places with the fewest amount of different weathers with the lowest percentage of encountering

yup.

How is that against the rules, there's nothing in the rules that says you can't ask a smaller question to help answer a bigger one
...because the smaller question answers part of the bigger question... that is a dupe.
No it's not, have you read some of the questions on the site?
I'm not sure why reading some of the other questions on this site would help because this hasn't been done before. Incomplete answers should really be posted as comments, and if you need help finding missing information, you should ask for it on the original thread, not ask a new question.
That is correct. It hasn't been hidden because it wasn't noticed and there's really no point in hiding a question that's 7 years old.
Also, I'd like to add that the information for Gen VI is not in the original question, because it didn't exist. I believe that it's generally okay if that happens
https://pokemondb.net/pokebase/255756/reccomended-jolteon-umbreon-leafeon-please-choose-pokemon is a dupe of this https://pokemondb.net/pokebase/6933/which-eevee-evolution-is-the-strongest

You can't really just throw in the rule now if the other questions "haven't been noticed." There are dozens of questions like this, I found both of these in two minutes
I'm not throwing that rule in? By your logic, all duplicate questions should be allowed because there are some that have been missed as dupes in the past. The rules were also enforced differently in the past, which is why there are some questions that exist that we wouldn't allow currently.
Also, I don't really think those questions are dupes. The more recent one asks for the best between a set of them.
gmax are you okay? your content quality has been low lately. this whole thread... no. just no. you seem to be challenging/pushing the rules. i think this is a dupe too. you even answered the other one..
Sorry, ik the quality of my posts has dropped recently, I've been pretty busy for the past month, I'm not as busy now, so my quality should go back to what it used to be. My laziness for this thread and the other one is pretty poor, ik, but now that I am less busy I will try to be a better quality user
That’s okay, sorry for being rude with my last comment
No, your not rude at all thank you for telling me actually, it will make want to try harder.
This straddles the line for me. I'll leave it be because it has an answer. It's not a duplicate though, the questions need to be *identical* for there to be a duplicate.
Thats what I was thinking

Just in case this is allowed...

Twist Mountain –
Back from your sightseeing tour, head north up Route 7 to eventually reach Twist Mountain. This is one of the first of several areas that cannot be fully explored without revisiting in different seasons. Assuming it’s still Winter after catching Cubchoo, There are several rooms that you can reach with some decent items inside, the only catch is that a few tunnels have been blocked off by snow, so come back in another season to explore some more. For the purpose of the challenge, nothing affects what Pokemon you can catch other than the encounter rate. Cryogonal is the Pokemon you’ll be looking out for, with a 5% encounter rate during Winter and a 1% chance any other time. You’ll find Cheren on the eastern side of the mountain by the exit to Icirrus City.

Cryogonal during any season other than winter.
