Pokémon GO shiny Pokémon
Shiny Pokémon are special versions of a Pokémon with a different coloration. Unlike the main series games, shinies in Pokémon GO are much more common - the standard rate is 1 in 512 (compared to 1/4096 in the recent console games or 1/8192 in older games). Many Pokémon have an even higher shiny rate: egg/raid exclusives and other rarer Pokémon are around a 1/64 chance; most legendaries in raids are around 1/20 chance; and on Community Days, where one Pokémon appears everywhere in the wild, the shiny rate is around 1/25. See below for a full list.
However, in Pokémon GO not every Pokémon can be shiny. When the game first launched no shinies were available. Over time, more and more Pokémon have become shiny-eligible. In most cases only the base form may be shiny in the wild - for example a Ratatta found in the wild could be shiny, but its evolution Raticate cannot. Sometimes those higher evos can be shiny in special raid events (e.g. the Kanto starters), and since the introduction of Mega Evolutions any Pokémon whose Mega has been released (like Beedrill or Ampharos) can be shiny, even outside of Mega Raids.
Below we display every shiny Pokémon sprite that is in Pokémon GO. You can compare with the Pokémon's non-shiny sprite by tapping or hovering your mouse over it. Pokémon marked with a star* next to the name have had their shiny released. In total there are 995 shiny Pokémon available in the game.
Note: some Pokémon such as Zarude currently don't have shiny sprites - or more specifically, the images labelled as shiny in the game's data are duplicates of their regular sprites.
